Pumpkins, Corn Mazes and Chili Fest

My gal pals and me and went Schnepf Farms for a really fun autumnal celebration (it was hot and dry as a bone, but we pretended it was autumnal feeling).

As you probably already know, I don't see things normally. I take note of odd things in a scene, so my pictures have gathered how I saw the farm at sunset.

Like I do in ghost hunting, I wander, note all my senses, stop, turn and look at what's behind me and might notice something weird like a shadow.

I love pumpkin patches. Orange is my very favorite color!

As us gals were heading to the corn maze at sunset, I couldn't help noticing our awesome shadows!

A bee on a gorgeous sunflower! Sunflowers are my favorite flowers. In fact, I love all wildflowers. I'm not impressed by roses. A bouquet of Queen Anne's lace and black-eyed Susans picked by a man's own hands--that's the best gift a woman will EVER receive. I'm not the jewelry type in the least, but nature is the ideal gift; sitting under the stars, a moonlight picnic by a lake, that impresses the hell out of me.

Sometimes, the silhouettes at sunset say it all....

  1. Great pics. It's funny cause when I look at your pics I'm feeling the cold from outside and it's like I'm feeling Fall from the pictures. Hard to explain but its awesome :)

  2. Thanks SD77, I'm a freak for autumn (duh) and so sentimental about it. I find a way to eek it out of the desert.

  3. So much fun last night, especially the corn maze. Love the pictures and can't wait to see the video! Now if only we had to wear sweaters it would have been perfect, hahaha.

  4. Very good pictures. I love the sunflower one with the bee on it. I had a blast at the farm. The corn maze was creepy at times but we did have a good ol' time scaring each other and anyone else who came wandering down the path our way.

  5. Girls--that was a freaking blast! I was laughing so hard. It's amazing what you can do in a corn maze if you're real creative. We made some scary films and pics. Yahoo!

No pics of the chili, sorry Eric. I ended up getting a hot dog because, well, I haven't had one in years!
