Is the Sphinx About to Reveal its Secrets?

I came across this article and it got my interest. It said, “An enormous system of caves, chambers and tunnels lies hidden beneath the Pyramids of Giza, according to a British explorer who claims to have found the lost underworld of the pharaohs.
Populated by bats and venomous spiders, the underground complex was found in the limestone bedrock beneath the pyramid field at Giza.

I remember hearing Edgar Cayce “the sleeping prophet” mentioning that records of the ancients would be found in three places; Bimini, Yucatan, and under the Sphinx.

This other article helps to shed some light on what Cayce had predicted, that the records of Atlantis would be found in a chamber beneath the Sphinx’s paws.

Does this finding perhaps correlate? And just how long will it take Egypt to let this cave system be explored? I suppose that will be the factor in finding out of Cayce was onto something. I, for one, will be studying it closely.

  4. I wrote a blog about that same article on my site (histmyst.blogspot.com). There's been stories of an underground tunnel system below the Giza plateau for years. There's evidence of their being a cavity beneath the Sphinx and allegedly, the entrance to that "cavity" was cemented in back in the early 20th century.

    That article quotes Dr. Zahi Hawass as saying, "There are no new discoveries to be made at Giza. We know everything about the plateau." Despite this great discovery of tunnels beneath Giza, I don't know if we'll ever hear much more about it. It may be that the Sphinx has some secrets beneath it, but if so, there may be those who wish to keep those secrets a secret.

  5. Jeff;
    Years ago I watched a documentary that used ground penetrating radar at the site and found a cavity down there. Of course, like usual, Egypt didn't want to pursue it. I have to admit a certain gripe against their head archeaological dude--what the heck is his name? Well, he's really got a lot of denial and issues and it seems like the secrets will never be exposed as long as he's running the show. He has a fantasy image of Egypt's history and thinks that all that's been discovered he has his hands on and so nothing new can exist. I suppose we'll just have to sit back and hope that some day they get past their uptight ways and become open-minded and curious. There are a lot more discoveries to be made. I think we can't progress as a people until we probe at things that once seemed fanciful. Heck, we flew to the moon and that couldn't be more fanciful!
