I still need to see Zombieland. Jeez! I had it in my Netflix queue and then they quit offering it on instant and then I drumped Netflix, so I need to find it.
Damn! Okay, I'm just going to go ahead and buy it since I have a lot of zombie movies and I adore Woody. Hey, the last zombie walk was Dec 10. I just looked it up.
Busy is always good :) I finally got a cheapo computer so I can at least interwebs. No video games for me. And I did my last Midnight Showing of Harry Potter last night as well. I dressed up as a Pin-up Bellatrix :-D
Well I had to dress up, and I haven't missed a midnight showing of HP since it came out. Lol I lacked any costume, But I was capable of putting together enough of an outfit to be pin-up and convey enough of a message as Bellatrix. Drew the dark mark on my arm and everything. :-D It was fun. But I feel empty now... No more Harry Potter. Lol
haha Daww <3 Worst thing is I'm not nerdy enough for nerds...(In my book at least).. I lack the interests... I don't want to go to a LAN party or what not. If I go to a party, I'd rather dance and have fun. Not play video games... /Shrugs. Darn me for having such a diverse interest. :-p
I'm going to NC in August though.. I'm so excited. There's Horseback Riding and White River Rafting and other awesome outdoor activities... I don't know what to do first! (...Ok I'm thinking Horses but that's only because I <3 horses and they're my animal totem...) Squee! Family Vacation should hopefully be fun ^.^
Horses, huh? I never did figure out my animal totem. I remind myself of a raccoon or a squirrel, but I admire owls and wolves. I guess I'd say I'm an alpha female wolf probably. I know a make a howling sound like one, well, at certain important times... I'm so glad you're getting away. You've earned it! I know what you mean. I think I'm nerdy until I talk to my friends who are into hardcore nerdy things. Like, I personally hated Lord of the Rings, but some folks take it like it's a bible of some kind. I don't do videogames. I probably could, but I'd honestly rather be watching a horror movie or making love if I had free time. But, I'm nerdy in that when I love something, I seriously dive into it and immerse myself and I don't care about trends and, in fact, I refuse to watch Avatar because it looked fucking stupid and everyone thought it was insanely awesome. I'm sorry, but I can't suspend my imagination enough to take in blue faced creatures and I'm not a huge fan of animation.
Yeppers, one of my totems is a horse. I am also a Dragonfly, and I can't tell if the Raven if a totem or a guardian, but they follow me around like a shadow. :) I do recommend the book Animal Speak to figure it out. You take the traits of the animal and compare it to you. But it's also one of those things like... they'll make themselves known to you too. I.E. the Raven. Ravens always come to me in time of need too.. Like when I'm struggling with a transition or what not. They were big around the time when I was dealing with all that crap with the depression and such. And when my house was epic broke. :-p
And yeah, I totally get that. I'm pretty nerdy... Scratch that, I'm REALLY nerdy. But I also just have far too much interest in other things. Sitting in front of a computer when I'd have the option to go out and be on the beach or at a club.. Hell even a photoshoot. I have MUCH more fun doing that.
And yeah, I've never seen Avatar, never had the desire. It looked stupid. And I really didn't see the big hype about it. It had qualities that so many movies before it had :-\
Soraya; I would say I have often compared myself to a wolf and a hummingbird and an owl and a squirrel. I'm not sure if any of them really relate to me. I always had the metabolism of a hummingbird and the desire to do everything very fast, but the owl to me was always a wise parent. When I had troubling times as a kid, I used to tell my problems to a barn owl we had in our barn. One time, I sat there, telling the owl my issues and it moved around and I realized it was a new owl, not the one I usually talk to and I was mad at it for not letting me know I was wasting my breath on an imposter owl. Haha. The wolf I get because I like having a pack, love the woods, am furry and love to howl. The squirrels remind me of me with my flying mane and running around doing it all at once and preparing for the long winter.
Most people know it. It seems to run across their path many times, whether it's one at the zoo that approaches you, or you run into in nature, or keep seeing the image in books or movies and something about it you relate to. I think I'd have to say that if I were superstitious, the owl always shows up at times of great turmoil in my life, but personality wise I don't relate to such a sedate character. I think the beaver might be more like me, a lover of water and industrious, yet able to float on my back and enjoy the sunlight on me. I run into beavers all the time in nature which is odd because most people never run into them. Then, of course, men might say that I run into beavers because, well...
@ Autumn; The owl could be a guardian, but the others have possibilities. I might look up Fox for you too though. My friend is a Fox and she kind of has a similar aspect to you. ^.^
@ Bandhura; Animal Speak is a good book to look at :) I say start with animals that appeal to you the most. Or any animal that kind of pops into your head that you notice alot. Maybe even look up your chinese zodiac and see what that animal is like. http://www.whats-your-sign.com/animal-totems.html - good summary of some animals. ^.^
Great advice, Soraya. I had thought about foxes, but they tend to be nervous and shy and I'm rather a social type and very loving and huggy with everyone I meet. I'm goofy, playful, smart, quick-minded... Perhaps an otter?
You know, if I would have truly THOUGHT, I know for certain that at least one of my totems is Butterfly. Hell I have them tattooed all over me and they are the carriers of the soul to the Indians. They also stand for change and boy you know me sis, I've been going through some huge changes over the past few years!
You're right, lil sis. That might just be it. They also flit from flower to flower and you love to have lots of different projects. Yes, I could see that definitely!
@Bandhura; You sound like me!! Haha! I'm convinced I'm half fairy, as I am attracted to glitter and shiney objects. :-D I love that stuff!!!
@ Autumn; Heh, I just have to say, my friends and I were chilling in a bookstore reading a Shaman Zodiac book... My friend was an owl, my other friend was a Beaver, and I was a wolf. It was kind of funny because we looked up the 'relationship' part of it all, and it was like "Yeah, Wolf and Beaver work really well together! And then Wolf eats beaver" We couldn't stop laughing. We pretty much said I was boss and clearly at the top of the food chain. :-p If they didn't agree with me, I'd eat them :-p
Hahaha. Rock/paper/scissors of the animal world, eh? I'm excited because next month my buddy and I are going to a creepy abandoned site to do a zombie photo shoot. Now, is that wicked, or what?
I'm Ivy and I'm not at all surprised because that has been something my mom used to call me as a kid. We had a huge tree stump about 5 and a half feet tall out in front of our house. A pole was driven into the side of for our flag to hang and it was so covered in ivy that as a kid I would use the vines to climb up the stump and sit atop it and wait for my dad to get home. I loved being tall. I used to say I'd grown as tall as the stump and I'm 5'8", so not bad. I almost got an ivy vine around my arm as a tatt, so there might be something to it. It keeps showing up everywhere for me.
Celtic is a huge part of my heritage as well ^.^ I am... English, Irish, Scottish, German, Dutch, And I have NO clue what my father is... But everyone says I look like I have eastern European in me. So I might have something to that affect as well. And then a friend said I look like I'm a bit Italian. /shrugs. I hate not having a definite answer :-p However, I have tracked down my family Tartan and I have the tartan, waiting to get money so I can get the kilt :)
And I was supposed to be tall... I was the second tallest girl in the class all throughout elementary school. Then.. I hit 5'3 and stopped growing. :-(
Well, I'll be damned. I was a butterfly this last summer when I left my cocoon and now I'm all flitting around and colorful. I like that. Sounds right.
Soraya, I am the shortest in my family of all the women...all 5'5" of me! LOL I'm Cherokee indian and Scotch/Irish on Dad's side and Mom's is English and Austrian/German
I know my tartan and had a chance to actually purchase a few little things with it on it when me and the ex-husband were in Scotland many years ago. Of course I have NO IDEA where they are now! I am a sect of the Clan Farquharson.
Barry; You're brilliant. I just knew it would be Odin! My son has a 14-inch Odin tatt on his side and that God has been running across my path my whole life. Sardonynx is my stone and I looked at it and it reminds me of my hair. Cool! Thanks my brilliant friend.
Lil Sis; My mom was a Frazier and it went back to Lord Lovat of Fraser in the highlands, but for quite some time they lived in Ireland and it changed from Fraser to Frazier. My mother refused to acknowledge that and I used to laugh and say "do you think they just didn't breed with local Irish while they lived there for hundreds of years?" She was weird about her pedigree and I'm freaking thrilled to have Irish blood. It explains why I'm so expressive and loving and passionate and sassy!
Awesome Sis...actually the Finley's were "native" to Scotland, were kicked out, went to Ireland, then were allowed to come back at some point. We are Highlander's too!
But yeah, I'm a sect of the Clan Keith. ^.^ I have the Clan Pin too, unfortunately it keeps breaking for some reason :( I really want the dang Kilt. I have a Random kilt.. I forget what tartan it is.. It's Red though. Totally opposite of my tartan. But I found it for 2 bucks at a Salvy. :-)
I like being a Pisces, but I wish I was a fire sign sometimes. I don't like this whole emotional zodiac sign. Lol Although They hit the creative part on the head. :) I'm also a Cuspy, So I'm Cusped with Aquarius, I was born RIGHT when the signs were changing.
Yes, I would have taken you for an Aquarius. I am terribly Virgo. No other signs does me justice. Efficient, organized, a born leader. Yup, yup, yup. I'm an earth sign and although I love water more than anything, I know that my ties to the earth are huge. Even now in an apartment, I have hanging pots of veggies and herbs in my kitchen window. I need to be in the earth all the time, digging and hiking, petting my trees and talking to my plants.
I just say I have the best traits from both sides :-p I am a pisces, I have the traits, but I don't see some of the negative traits they impose on pisces. Same with Aquarius, I do have Aquarius traits. /shrugs. But I definitely am a Water sign... I find it so peaceful in water... Sitting in water right where the waves lap up on the shore line...I feel like I take in the energy from the ocean there. I could meditate there for HOURS. I also am very drawn into water... It's like.. Hypnotic. The texture of it and everything... Love me some water :-)
I'm a moisture freak myself. I adore fog, rain, snow, showers, creeks, lakes, rivers, ocean, drinking water, spritzing it on me with a spray bottle. When it's moist outside, I come alive. The dryness of the desert--not good and the earth here is salty and hard. I am so not a desert gal, not to mention being fair and freckled and redheaded. haha
Definitely feel the same way. Although, I could do without Humidity. Lol! I do want to go to the desert eventually though. I'd have fun there for a little, and I want to do a few shoots in the desert. Belly Dance and Normal. :-p
Even though I am a fire sign, I HAVE to be near water! I'm cuspy though with Capricorn...not sure what they are. I just cringe at the thought of ever living anywhere land-locked with no rivers or large lakes to play in! SC has the ocean, lakes, rivers...heaven!
Although I'm interested in looking at the certain people born on my birthday to see who's similar to me in that way :-p I have Ansel Adams, That's always made me happy. haha~
Comin' late to the party... and wondering if I should mention that I'm of English and Danish background, which means my ancestors put a lot of time and effort into causing trouble for a lot of your ancestors.... :D
Barry; Yes, well, the right man must be waiting for me because he's not jumping into my path, putting me over his shoulder and running off to a cave. I hope I'm like wine and cheese at this point and get better with age.
Soraya; I think I got mine here: http://www.freehoroscopesastrology.com/free-zodiac-birth-chart.aspx
I'll check that one out and let you know if it's accurate :-p I'll be back in like 10 minutes. I'm lacking food and falling out of my chair because of that fact :-p
oof. Alright so I got food but I think I'm totally Out of Mana. I'm exhausted :( Stupid Epic Sickness of Doom. :( I think I'ma go lay down instead. I'll chat with you laters!! :)
Here's a factoid that connects to nothing in particular--but I just learned it and I am frightened by the notion of zombies dwelling in pants--but B-movie actress Shirley Corrigan spent the late 1960s working with Mother Teresa in Calcutta. The nun encouraged encouraged Corrigan to resume her acting career and to work with children. So, Corrigan moved to Italy and spent the 1970s starring in horror films and soft-core porn (with a few dramas and comedies mixed in).
Plus, what's a party without some guy bringing up topics that NO ONE is interested in?! :)
Could be, but I suspect Mother Teresa was thinking more along the lines of Corrigan resuming her stage career (where she appeared mostly in things like "The Sound of Music" and "The Threepenny Opera"). :)
Haha. What the Mother doesn't know won't hurt her. That's funny. So, brag to me about your beautiful NW weather, you lucky bastard. I still have months of 100s to endure.
And I'm sitting here in a sweatshirt... and even had to close my windows last night because it was cold. Yes, I love the weather here... if it gets into the high 90s, we consider it a heatwave!
I lived in Arizona as a small child and I went back in the mid-1980s. I'll stay where it's cooler, thank-you-very-much.... unless someone offers me a job that pays enough to run AC all day, every day, April - November!
I'm with you there. I am soooo not made for the desert. I always wanted to live in Portland, but I'd settle for Medford if my son and his fiancee would consider it because it only gets like 19 inches of rain and she hates cloudy dreary weather. I need green. I might have to compromise and live here November to May and then go up north from May to November. That would probably work. I'd love to just be able to rent a cabin in whatever location I'm writing a book that takes place in and then come back to home base for a while and then off to another location. (sigh) How's the work stuff going for you? Anything new this week?
Nothing exciting... just working on getting NUELOW Games back up and running with a wave of PDF releases. Although your Bigfoot posts did inspire me to include a character in a product I'm putting the finishing touches on tonight. I even drew the portrait myself (and, yes, it's going in something I'm charging for, so it shows the level of quality that NUELOW is building its reputation on): Behold Bigfoet, the Tyrolian Yeti!
Oh, and "The Death of Osama Bin Laden" has been irritating all the right people, and my edition of "Alice in Blunderland" has alredy gotten me a nice email from a customer, so I'm happy. Not expecting to get rich, but happy. :)
I love that! You are sassy and willing to say it like it is. I respect the hell out of that. Some folks can't take it, but they also didn't like hearing about the demise of Santa. I love the yeti! Holy hell! You must have so much fun with your days! I'd love to see your creative process.
I do have fun... it's work but it's also lots of fun. And during those times where I've been forced to work jobs I hate--which have been few and far between, if for no other reason I find something to like about everything I do--I realize how lucky I've been.
As for my creative process... lately it's been "Hey, this seems like a fun idea" and then I start pounding the keyboard. :)
Man, I have toooooo many ideas and not enough time. I'm working a full-time job and blogs and ghost hunting and road trips and two books at one time. I think I might be overextended but when it comes to my passions, I'm sort of double-jointed and super flexible.
Oh, I know the feeling. I am keeping myself focused on two things a time here, even letting the blogs slide a bit. It is so tempting to pursue every idea that comes to mind, but then NONE of them get done.
And when I say "two things," that means two things currently in actual writing or editing stage. Two or three other things are in various idea/outline stages, waiting for something to be finished so I can turn my attention to them.
True. I have a huge paper tablet on the wall and the months squared off on it and a list of what needs to be done each month. Right now I'm halfway through August's list and I'm determined. I really want to be ahead of schedule because I want to enjoy the Halloween season and not feel stressed by deadlines. In fact, I'm going to take a break from writing deadlines this late fall/winter. I need to develop this thing called "life."
I'm with you. I think staying busy just keeps me from realizing I'm alone. It hits me when I go to bed at night. I lay there and wonder if I will always sleep alone. Then, I start thinking about how I got the awesome big bed and big mirror over the headboard so I could enjoy the single life and the poor bedroom has kind of frowned on my intentions. It seems like punishment having to back in there to sleep.
Yeah you need to watch some Zombieland. It's pretty good. Hehe I love Make me zombie! still have it as my profile pic and it was one of my first Morbid zombie monday posts too. We had our zombie walk last month :( want another one though. Get your ZOMBIE on girl!
Random Girl; I do love my zombies, but my ex husband hated them, so I missed Zombieland when it came out and then I got busy with my divorce and managed to just forget about it. Now, I gotta sit down and see it. I know it'll be one of my favorites. The end of August, I'm doing a zombie photo shoot and some zombie short films. I can't wait to share it on the blog. I love doing zombie makeup.
I'm on, y'all.
ReplyDeleteZombieland versus Shaun of the Dead. I just can't decide. Both so good.
ReplyDeleteHilo! I think I'm in for the night so I am here. How is everything? :)
ReplyDeleteI still need to see Zombieland. Jeez! I had it in my Netflix queue and then they quit offering it on instant and then I drumped Netflix, so I need to find it.
ReplyDeleteHey Soraya;
ReplyDeleteI am doing well. Very busy, but a good kind of busy. Can't complain and probably won't because it's not in my nature.
We have both on dvd and they have been watched repeatedly.
ReplyDeleteCardio
Double Tap
Always check the back seat
Watch the movie and you'll know what I'm talking about.
Damn! Okay, I'm just going to go ahead and buy it since I have a lot of zombie movies and I adore Woody. Hey, the last zombie walk was Dec 10. I just looked it up.

Yay, that was mu zombie santa post. It did have that orgasmaprose thing going. yup.
ReplyDeleteSoraya; You are so awesomely brilliantly nerdish and yet so totally cool -- what a dangerous combo. Watch it men!
ReplyDeleteMM; Yes, please, more orgasmaprose. You give it to me so good, my poetry genius!
haha Daww <3 Worst thing is I'm not nerdy enough for nerds...(In my book at least).. I lack the interests... I don't want to go to a LAN party or what not. If I go to a party, I'd rather dance and have fun. Not play video games... /Shrugs. Darn me for having such a diverse interest. :-p

Barry;
I agree. BF is your totem, dear.
I know it's very un-American Indian of me, but I have no idea what my totem animal is or how to figure it out!

ReplyDeletehttp://www.whats-your-sign.com/animal-symbolism-beaver.html
Barry Bear? That's too easy! I think you're a beaver like me.http://www.whats-your-sign.com/animal-symbolism-beaver.html
ReplyDeleteI think Barry is more interested in your Beaver than you are Sis!
ReplyDeleteWell, like I keep saying, I know why men get sick of making love to the same woman cause I sure as hell am!
ReplyDeleteWell they say variety is the spice of life! Hmmmm....that could apply to women too though! LOL
ReplyDelete@Bandhura; You sound like me!! Haha! I'm convinced I'm half fairy, as I am attracted to glitter and shiney objects. :-D I love that stuff!!!
ReplyDelete@ Autumn; Heh, I just have to say, my friends and I were chilling in a bookstore reading a Shaman Zodiac book... My friend was an owl, my other friend was a Beaver, and I was a wolf. LOL Hey I love fairies too! I have a tattoo of a fairy and a dragon with fairy wings! All my tats except for one are winged creatures.
ReplyDeleteI think bears eat beavers don't they?
ReplyDeleteHahaha. Rock/paper/scissors of the animal world, eh? I'm excited because next month my buddy and I are going to a creepy abandoned site to do a zombie photo shoot. Now, is that wicked, or what?
ReplyDelete@Bandhura hee hee
ReplyDeleteShe has you pegged, Barry
ReplyDeleteSoraya, that book sounds really cool! Wonder if there is a website where you can look up your Shamanic Zodiac? Any ideas?
ReplyDeleteThis one Soraya mentioned is good. http://www.whats-your-sign.com
ReplyDeleteHmmmm....I can't find anything based on your birthday. But I may be missing it!
ReplyDeletehttp://books.google.com/books?id=4y9LvMwySTIC&printsec=frontcover#v=onepage&q&f=false
ReplyDeletepage down a dew pages to the chart I am a raven
Wow, I'm a brown bear. I thought I was a bit more perky than that, though some days I do seem to loaf a bit.
ReplyDeleteWell according to Shamanic Zodiac, Wolves eat Beavers. :-p
ReplyDeletehttp://www.amazon.com/Shamanic-Astrology-Understanding-Spirit-Animal/dp/1556438265 that's the book.
And the website I posted before apparently has everything :-p

Celtic Astrology is pretty interesting too.
http://www.metaphysicalzone.com/celtic/index.shtml
I'm an Ash Tree and an Snake according to the celts :-)
Well Cool! Thanks Barry! Northern Hemisphere....I'm Owl! I do think owls are intriguing!
ReplyDeleteAnd darn it, you both beat me to it. haha!
ReplyDeletehttp://www.celticradio.net/php/zodiac.php?type=index that's a better site for celtic tree astrology though.
Soraya, the Celtic (Which is also a BIG part of my heritage)says I am Birch Tree with Druic Animal - White Stag
ReplyDeleteCeltic I'm an ivy
ReplyDeleteI'm Ivy and I'm not at all surprised because that has been something my mom used to call me as a kid. We had a huge tree stump about 5 and a half feet tall out in front of our house. ReplyDeleteWell Shoot! The Celtic Radio site says I'm The Elder tree.

ReplyDeleteGo here sis: http://www.metaphysicalzone.com/celtic/index.shtml
ReplyDeleteCeltic is a huge part of my heritage as well ^.^
ReplyDeleteI am... English, Irish, Scottish, German, Dutch, And I have NO clue what my father is... But everyone says I look like I have eastern European in me. So I might have something to that affect as well. And then a friend said I look like I'm a bit Italian. /shrugs. I hate not having a definite answer :-p
However, I have tracked down my family Tartan and I have the tartan, waiting to get money so I can get the kilt :)
ReplyDeleteAlso, the original site that I posted (the what's your sign site) has the celtic animal signs on it too
ReplyDeleteNow, my next question is--is there nordic totems or astrology?
ReplyDeleteSo, I'm ivy/butterfly. Now, I'm going to investigate the nordic side of me; I'm half celt, half nordic.
ReplyDeleteThat one I haven't figured out/looked much into... although i've been meaning to..., but damn I really have to search for it. hahaha!~
ReplyDeleteSoraya, I am the shortest in my family of all the women...all 5'5" of me! LOL I'm Cherokee indian and Scotch/Irish on Dad's side and Mom's is English and Austrian/German
ReplyDeleteI know my tartan and had a chance to actually purchase a few little things with it on it when me and the ex-husband were in Scotland many years ago. Of course I have NO IDEA where they are now! I am a sect of the Clan Farquharson.
Sis...there must be! Let's look! LOL
http://webhome.idirect.com/~vekeman/celtic.htm
ReplyDeletepage down to the bottom for a nordic chart
I'm not sure they took a lot of interest in that, probably runes would be more the thing.
ReplyDeleteMy weekday is THORS DAY! :-p
ReplyDeleteThat's something I haven't tried yet...runes.
ReplyDeleteBarry;
ReplyDeleteYou're brilliant.
LOL Soraya...mine too! When is you birthday? LOL Mine is 12/20. We seem to have a lot in common!
ReplyDeleteAwesome Sis...actually the Finley's were "native" to Scotland, were kicked out, went to Ireland, then were allowed to come back at some point. We are Highlander's too!
ReplyDeleteThat's not fair! Thor's Day! I'm a Thorvaldsen.
ReplyDeleteI'm February 20th. Lol My entire thing across that board is:
ReplyDeleteSokkvaber
Pisces
Aegir
Neptune
Thursday -- AKA Thorsday! :-p
Bloodstone
Fish
White
I also found this post: https://www.facebook.com/topic.php?uid=16102662209&topic=10666
Which could be accurate, as me being pisces I'm ruled hard by water.
Pisces--fantastic sign. My best female connections were either Libras or Pisces.
ReplyDeleteAhhhh! Coolness! LOL Well, we share the same THORsday! LMAO! That was classic!
ReplyDeleteAnd here I am a flighty Sag! LOL Well, you do have to keep me grounded every now and then! LOL
ReplyDeleteBut yeah, I'm a sect of the Clan Keith. :-)
ReplyDeleteIt's all the FIRE in my sign!
ReplyDeleteHaha. The Fraser plaid looks atrocious on me--I'm redheaded! Yikes! The hunting plaid looks good--tans.
ReplyDeleteI like being a Pisces, but I wish I was a fire sign sometimes. I don't like this whole emotional zodiac sign. Lol Although They hit the creative part on the head. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm also a Cuspy, So I'm Cusped with Aquarius, I was born RIGHT when the signs were changing.
The Fraser tartan is really similar to the one that I have. Lol!
ReplyDeleteYes, I would have taken you for an Aquarius.
ReplyDeleteI just say I have the best traits from both sides :-p I am a pisces, I have the traits, but I don't see some of the negative traits they impose on pisces. Same with Aquarius, I do have Aquarius traits. /shrugs.
ReplyDeleteBut I definitely am a Water sign...
I am so not a desert gal, not to mention being fair and freckled and redheaded. haha
ReplyDeleteDefinitely feel the same way. Although, I could do without Humidity. Lol!
ReplyDeleteI do want to go to the desert eventually though.
ReplyDeleteOk ladies! My man is home! Going to sign-off at least for awhile! Hugs! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteCappy's are Earth ^.^
ReplyDeleteCappy's are also very determined people... They will overwork themselves like crazy to get something done. ^.^
And Aww Ok, Baiz!!
ReplyDeleteHaha. Have you ever done the astrology with your actual birth date? Those are insanely accurate!
ReplyDeleteI think I read it from the one book I found in a book store. For some reason, I wanna say it wasn't as accurate as I was expecting it to be.
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm interested in looking at the certain people born on my birthday to see who's similar to me in that way :-p
ReplyDeleteI have Ansel Adams, That's always made me happy. haha~
I guess it depends on the source. Mine was amazingly accurate, but I was supposedly a month late in being born. Hmm...
ReplyDeleteSame birthday as me-Elvira and redheaded too!
ReplyDeleteSo, any male prospects on the horizon?
A good woman like you is worth waiting for *wink*
ReplyDeleteWhere did you find yours? I put my birthday into google and just got people born on it.
ReplyDelete.. There's also supposedly an Anti-religion movement on my birthday. Lol

92 comments?!?!?!?!?!
ReplyDeleteIt's obvious now where the party is!!!
I think I have a zombie in my pants... not sure what I mean by that however...
~shoes~
Comin' late to the party... and wondering if I should mention that I'm of English and Danish background, which means my ancestors put a lot of time and effort into causing trouble for a lot of your ancestors.... :D
ReplyDeleteBarry;
ReplyDeleteYes, well, the right man must be waiting for me because he's not jumping into my path, putting me over his shoulder and running off to a cave. I hope I'm like wine and cheese at this point and get better with age.
Soraya;
I think I got mine here: http://www.freehoroscopesastrology.com/free-zodiac-birth-chart.aspx
But Steve, I love Danish! Har har
ReplyDeleteShoes; you've been gazing at my zombie pic too long, dear.
I'll check that one out and let you know if it's accurate :-p I'll be back in like 10 minutes. I'm lacking food and falling out of my chair because of that fact :-p
ReplyDeleteHAR!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGazing?
So that's what that's called in AZ, huh? ;o)
~shoes~
Leering, let's be honest, dear. :-)
ReplyDeleteoof. Alright so I got food but I think I'm totally Out of Mana. I'm exhausted :( Stupid Epic Sickness of Doom. :( I think I'ma go lay down instead. I'll chat with you laters!! :)
ReplyDeleteLater, Soraya. You get rest, dear. Mono takes a looooong time to get over.
ReplyDeleteHere's a factoid that connects to nothing in particular--but I just learned it and I am frightened by the notion of zombies dwelling in pants--but B-movie actress Shirley Corrigan spent the late 1960s working with Mother Teresa in Calcutta. The nun encouraged encouraged Corrigan to resume her acting career and to work with children. So, Corrigan moved to Italy and spent the 1970s starring in horror films and soft-core porn (with a few dramas and comedies mixed in).
ReplyDeletePlus, what's a party without some guy bringing up topics that NO ONE is interested in?! :)
You got me with horror and soft-core porn. You think Mother Theresa would approve of me making such a career move?
ReplyDeleteCould be, but I suspect Mother Teresa was thinking more along the lines of Corrigan resuming her stage career (where she appeared mostly in things like "The Sound of Music" and "The Threepenny Opera"). :)
ReplyDeleteHaha. What the Mother doesn't know won't hurt her. That's funny. So, brag to me about your beautiful NW weather, you lucky bastard. I still have months of 100s to endure.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm sitting here in a sweatshirt... and even had to close my windows last night because it was cold. Yes, I love the weather here... if it gets into the high 90s, we consider it a heatwave!
ReplyDeleteI lived in Arizona as a small child and I went back in the mid-1980s.
(sigh)
ReplyDeleteHow's the work stuff going for you? Anything new this week?
Nothing exciting... just working on getting NUELOW Games back up and running with a wave of PDF releases. Although your Bigfoot posts did inspire me to include a character in a product I'm putting the finishing touches on tonight. I even drew the portrait myself (and, yes, it's going in something I'm charging for, so it shows the level of quality that NUELOW is building its reputation on): Behold Bigfoet, the Tyrolian Yeti!
ReplyDeleteOh, and "The Death of Osama Bin Laden" has been irritating all the right people, and my edition of "Alice in Blunderland" has alredy gotten me a nice email from a customer, so I'm happy. Not expecting to get rich, but happy. :)
I am wondering if I should name him Bigfoetzi... since the other characters are named Oetzi, Poetzi, and Hoetzi.
ReplyDeleteI love that! You are sassy and willing to say it like it is. I respect the hell out of that. Some folks can't take it, but they also didn't like hearing about the demise of Santa. I love the yeti! Holy hell! You must have so much fun with your days! I'd love to see your creative process.
ReplyDeleteI do have fun... it's work but it's also lots of fun. And during those times where I've been forced to work jobs I hate--which have been few and far between, if for no other reason I find something to like about everything I do--I realize how lucky I've been.
ReplyDeleteAs for my creative process... lately it's been "Hey, this seems like a fun idea" and then I start pounding the keyboard. :)
Man, I have toooooo many ideas and not enough time. I'm working a full-time job and blogs and ghost hunting and road trips and two books at one time. I think I might be overextended but when it comes to my passions, I'm sort of double-jointed and super flexible.
ReplyDeleteOh... and I read your Clown story. I'll email you when I've firmed up all the details on that anthology/periodical project I mentioned last week.
ReplyDeleteOh jeez, yeah. Thanks. I have too many balls in the air and that's not like me to be accounting for all the balls I have. (rim shot)
ReplyDeleteOh, I know the feeling. I am keeping myself focused on two things a time here, even letting the blogs slide a bit. It is so tempting to pursue every idea that comes to mind, but then NONE of them get done.
ReplyDeleteAnd when I say "two things," that means two things currently in actual writing or editing stage. Two or three other things are in various idea/outline stages, waiting for something to be finished so I can turn my attention to them.
ReplyDeleteTrue.
ReplyDeleteWise idea. I think I stopped having a life some time in 1996 and sometimes that troubles me. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm with you.
ReplyDeleteJust don't introduce him to Dale until at LEAST after the third date.
ReplyDeleteAnd on that note, I have to get back to finishing up "Icing Oetzi."
Have a great weekend and week!
You too, Steve!
ReplyDeleteYeah you need to watch some Zombieland. It's pretty good. Hehe I love Make me zombie! still have it as my profile pic and it was one of my first Morbid zombie monday posts too. We had our zombie walk last month :( want another one though. Get your ZOMBIE on girl!
ReplyDeleteRandom Girl;
ReplyDeleteI do love my zombies, but my ex husband hated them, so I missed Zombieland when it came out and then I got busy with my divorce and managed to just forget about it. Now, I gotta sit down and see it. I know it'll be one of my favorites. The end of August, I'm doing a zombie photo shoot and some zombie short films. I can't wait to share it on the blog. I love doing zombie makeup.
