My Etsy shop, Madam Curio, has added new items and I am adding regularly even more! It's a mix of my original oil paintings utilizing my psychic senses and synesthetic spatial viewpoint, as well as a concentration on how the landscape reacts to the sky.
Some of the oddities I am adding will be leading into more and more creepy sideshow items and Halloween/horror curios, as well as some lovely things for us bohemian-beach-oriented kind of gals. I'm an odd mix, but when you see it together, it makes sense.

There are numerous other paintings of magical things and vintage collectibles. I am adding a lot more items coming up and might start doing psychometry items. I used to do psychometry clocks that both looked like a feeling and provoked the feeling with the used items I made it out of. Here's an example -
I am continually evolving as an artist, a psychic, and a storyteller. Madam Curio is the perfect persona for my work.

I am a person who likes to gather a lot of evidence and let that evidence show me what the obvious belief should be, rather than to enter a situation with a belief and conform the evidence to support it.
With no expectations of what Bigfoot, aliens and ghosts are, I let my studies over time begin to unfold a conclusion.
I am asked for my insights on things like Bigfoot's origins, how to deal with families who have ghosts, and where are aliens from? I will answer those briefly in these posts, knowing that at some point, a new set of evidence might define these concepts even further -

Bigfoot is an interesting study. They are not even proven publicly and yet we gather so much information from their back and forth, the evidence they leave behind, their interactions with researchers. I have been studying for a time their symbols and customs, language, and ancestry. Today, I'd like to discuss two features that many researchers work with in hopes of sharing my preliminary conclusions on these two items; trading and effigies.

Ancient giants - their stories come from nearly every native culture around the globe. But, what cultures might tell us the most about these globe-trotting people? I tend to look at the Northern and Eastern European regions where we had Homo sapiens, Neanderthals and Denisovans cloistered in caves. These giants appear to have been a hearty bunch, likely having evolved outside of Africa for hundreds of thousands of years before we left the continent below. To adapt to these harsh climates, one would need to be powerful, perhaps hair, certainly meat-eating, as plant matter in colder climes was not like it was in Africa where fruits and veggies abounded.

UFO enthusiasts are visual folks. They want to see what is being discussed, evaluate the setting, the witnesses and the craft to come to conclusions. There are some great YouTube channels to stay up on newly discovered craft, findings on Mars, MIBs, and all the UFO-related talk. I'm going to give some suggestions of channels to subscribe to here depending on your area of interest in UFOs -

I have to admit, parts of the remake 2001 movie “Thirteen Ghosts” totally hit the mark for me. I think the single scariest scene I’ve ever seen in a movie was the junkyard scene when they’re trying to capture the Juggernaut. Something about setting a trap for a huge seriously evil ghost that can’t be seen is shivery scary and I adore junkyards so the location was wickedly grim, as well.

Humans are thinkers. It's a good thing that we are, it has built us nations and social constructs that allow us to help each other and benefit from the process of thought-to-invention. The down side of our thinking is that we often times have issues with new input. Early man might have seen an eclipse and panicked as they assumed the world was ending, Pilgrims might have seen a person having a seizure and freak out thinking they were a witch. We have a tendency to take issue with novel events and especially when we have only one exposure the unknown - religion.

You might remember the first time you saw "Friday the 13th." I'm old enough that I saw it in the theater when it came out. I remember the creepy sounds were making me tense up in my seat. I even hid behind my hands a few times, not sure how the people were going to be killed. I had a low threshold for machete slicing.

DEMONIC HOUSE HUNTING: A DESPERATE REAL ESTATE AGENT STOPS AT NOTHING TO CLOSE A SALE ON A CURSED MANSION IN “THE MAIDEN”
Los Angeles, CA –April 19, 2016—THE MAIDEN, a short thriller/horror film, made its online premiere exclusively on bloody-disgusting.com on April 18. Following the 24-hour exclusive, the film will live on the-maiden.com.
THE MAIDEN is the story of a real estate agent (Alia Raelynn) who is pushed to the edge as she struggles to close on a mysterious estate. As she goes about her business, she begins to discover that this house is not as deserted as it seems - and a very powerful and evil presence is working against her. The closer she gets to the sale, the more dangerous things get. Can she close on the house before its too late?
Michael Chaves wrote and directed the original short. The story was inspired by the real estate crash a few years ago. “I was fascinated by how corrupt it was,” said Chaves. “I’ve always loved haunted house stories, but I wanted some kind of a twist. I started wondering ‘what happens before the young family moves in? How was someone able sell something so evil?’
The film was shot on location in Los Angeles at the famous Beckett Mansion. Chaves produced the short with his family and close friends. He enlisted his high school best friend Tristan Nyby to shoot it. Michael’s wife, Dina Buglione, did the casting. His next door neighbor David Moore and Lynda Pribyl produced it with Chaves.
“We wanted to anchor it in reality, so we shot primarily with natural light,” said Tristan Nyby, Director of Photography. “Especially for a thriller/horror, the power is in believing this is real. The house had such an amazing structure that it shaped the light really beautifully.”
Michael Chaves is a commercial director who has worked with clients such as Sony, AT&T, Ford, Vodafone, Miller Light, and Disney. He is currently developing a feature treatment of The Maiden.

I am personally stoked that Chaves is working on a feature version of this. It really is quite chilling and his technique is engaging and real. I like his artistic eye and the way his mind works. This is a director I'm going to be following.

Arizona may seem barren to many outsiders, but residents know that the state is extremely diverse in weather, flora and fauna. Some of the southwestern cryptids are quite interesting, as well. And, no, there are no sightings of the fictional Jackalope, although I certainly wish they existed!
