Scary Beaches: Glowing Waves

Strange glowing waves have been seen the world over. Is it supernatural? Is it toxic? Nope. It's actually bioluminescence. It's created by phytoplankton in the ocean and creates a natural blue glow. It's not dangerous, but it is damn romantic!

  2. I hiked 3 miles up a beach to an untouched beach and went swimming, It was interesting to splash around in the water and leave glowing trails. I had it explained to me as high concentrations of Phosphorus in the water. ^.^
