Autumnforest Crushes: Dave Grohl

I love artists and musicians, scientists and adventurers, inventors and spiritualists, nerds and green innovators. When I think of musicians, there are a lot of amazing ones, but there's something magic when someone is not only multi-talented, but liberal, intelligent, and uses their position for lots of good causes. It helps too if there is something about seeing them that makes my toes curl.

Dave Grohl, known best as the lead singer for Foo Fighters, has it all. (Wikipedia) David Eric "Dave" Grohl (born January 14, 1969)is an American rock musician, multi-instrumentalist, and singer-songwriter who is the lead vocalist, guitarist, and primary songwriter for Foo Fighters; the former drummer for Nirvana and Scream; and the current drummer for Them Crooked Vultures. He has also written all the music for his short-lived side projects Late! and Probot as well as being involved with Queens of the Stone Age.

"I've got another confession my friend, I'm no fool, I'm getting tired of starting again, somewhere new...." This song will be enough to have you crushing too -

  1. Yeppers! Nothing like a strong liberal man who can sing, tell it how it is and still be sexy to get me going. Great, now I have to put in my Foo Fighters DVD and watch the whole thing. Thanks Sharon. :)

  4. Dave Grohl comes across as a very down to earth unpretentious guy. I'd love to have the chance to sit down and chat with him. He's a genius songwriter, too , in my opinion. The best stuff he has done with the Foo Fighters, in my opinion, is the two dozen or more b-sides, covers, and various unreleased songs that most people have never had the chance to hear. While most of the FF albums have been a mixed bag of songs, its his more experimental, artsy non- rocker side that has often been left off those albums that has always been my favorite part of Grohl's music.
