Lonely on a Friday Night & The Next Few Days of Posts

First, I'm going to do something new. Since I put things in the queue ahead of time, I thought I'd share what to expect in coming days:

Saturday: "Seeing Faces" (about how we see faces in things and it's human nature to matrix), also "My Childhood Haunts: The Blue Lights" (another in my series about my childhood paranormal encounters--this one at my summer home)

Sunday: "Sit Through the Panic: Observe" (all about the mental conversations that can change the way you interpret your entire life, your emotions, your joy and your very physiology and the reason I'm such a happy spaz). Also, expect the unexpected Sunday evening as Julie and I are at a haunted location and I will no doubt share a video or more.

Monday: "Documentary: Invasion of the Dark Stars" (this is a review and it's surprisingly spooky enough to give me nightmares). Also, expect more from Julie and I's crazy trip to haunted ghost towns and a haunted hotel.

Tuesday:
"Mind Fuck Tuesday: Dogs Mark Their Territory: Why Can't We" (a concept of how we might actually be picking up where others have been and how they felt there.

Okay, y'all. It's that time again. I'll be here all evening. Come and go as you wish. Call on me and like a genie, I appear. I figured I shouldn't be the only one lonely on a Friday night. Lots of people have nothing planned. Hang out and chit chat, tell jokes, flirt, goof off. The whole lot of you manage to entertain each other even if your hostess isn't around, but strangely she always is. Now, jump on and talk to use any time you wish.

Comments

  1. I'm on for the evening, y'all. Come and go as you please. We can talk about anything that comes to mind.

    ReplyDelete
  2. Is it me, or I am I often one of the first to be here on Fridays? Regardless, I'm here!

    ReplyDelete
  3. Yeah, I guess where you are, it's 7? It's 5 here. So, did you find any good horror movies to watch last weekend?

    ReplyDelete
  4. i think we are alone, doesn't seem to be anyone around...

    ReplyDelete
  5. Well, funny story. My dad decided I could watch "Dead Silence". They had one copy left at Family Video, so I snatched it up. Trouble was, the disc was so scratched that I only just made to scene where the hero arrives in Raven's Fair. The opening titles were AWESOME, though. Worth the price of admission. Still, the hunt continues.

    ReplyDelete
  6. hey, you forgot to mention the unmentionables... looking for club frighters...

    ReplyDelete
  7. HN;
Sweetie, you are so cursed! I hope you can get a good copy of that. It is the best horror movie and I know you well enough to say that you will want to own that one!

    ReplyDelete
  8. Club Frighters, huh? Just click on all my followers, just about any of them would suit. I have followers who are the brightest and the best of horror loving.

    ReplyDelete
  9. team leader is burning files before the big storm crash of the computer of 2011... boo, then a dose of smallville... yeah!

    ReplyDelete
  10. So, how 'bout you, Autumn? Seen any good horror lately?

    ReplyDelete
  11. fright club is open for business and the first couple of challenges are up... how you doing everyone?

    ReplyDelete
  12. i watched infestation, funny and gross.

    ReplyDelete
  13. HN;
Yeah, actually I was surprised. I'm reviewing it this weekend. It's a documentary and it gave me nightmares. It was about alien/UFO stuff but it was just soooo weird and disturbing.

    ReplyDelete
  14. I am having a good day. Very productive. Infestation, huh?

    ReplyDelete
  15. I admit, I like the concept of aliens, but in they movies they tend not to scare me as much as things ghosts and killers.

    ReplyDelete
  16. I agree about monsters. In movies, I'm more scared by stalkers.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I'm sure I can guess WHO your favorite stalker is... ME! Nah, just kidding. My money's on Michael Myers.

    ReplyDelete
  18. the film about giant flying bugs... it came out a few years ago.

    ReplyDelete
  19. michael is the only monster character his is still terrifying.

    ReplyDelete
  20. Stalker movies, there's so many good ones--the ones with human stalkers, but MM is top of all stalkers.

I missed Infestation. Now it sounds cool. What's your favorite of all time?

    ReplyDelete
  21. Howz your week been, Autumn? My's been just average.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Howz your week been, Autumn? My's been just average.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Nightbreed--Damn! There are some that have missed me and that is one of them. What did you love about that?

    ReplyDelete
  24. for creepy, ewee gross... rabid.

    ReplyDelete
  25. Whoops a-daisy, pushed that publish button twice.

    ReplyDelete
  26. HN;
I've had a good week. I am getting excited about my scary road trip this weekend and hoping I can come up with super creepy stuff for the blog from it. Very scary places

    ReplyDelete
  27. Rabid? Wicked! I liked Quarantine.

    ReplyDelete
  28. it had all the elements monsters, gore, families living under ground and together a hero that will lead them into the darkness. and David Cronenberg.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Cronenberg--that sells it. I somehow missed it. It came out at an odd time.

    ReplyDelete
  30. Just a word of warning - if you see some hick running a gas station, and he offers you some BBQ... run, dammit, RUN!!!

    ReplyDelete
  31. HN;
Haha! In West Virginia I pulled up at a gas station and the guy in overalls "Billy Bob" on his name tag said "Y'all take a wrong turn?" Scary.

    ReplyDelete
  32. it's based on clive barker's book "cabal" it's seems like a part of a story you want more. it might be hard to find on dvd? also, a good to watch is book of dead. his last film, it has a very cool story.

    ReplyDelete
  33. What would have been is if he had bug eyes like Michael Berryman in "Hills Have eyes".

    ReplyDelete
  34. michael berryman is the coolest guy i interviewed him in 1992...

    ReplyDelete
  35. I have found lots of bootleg copies of obscure movies. I bet I could find it.

Oh those bug eyes! I tell you, every time I drive through the desert, I think of Hills Have Eyes and check my gas gauge desperately!

    ReplyDelete
  36. watch out for those pumpkinheads...
and never share a soda with a guy with no teeth...

    ReplyDelete
  37. thank you for the help on the moon guy i have, i finally going to track down it's history... i love the little guy and it was my grandpa's father's moon man.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Who could ever forget Pluto

    ReplyDelete
  39. Pluto--that's it! I was trying to remember their names.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I read your mind --- who's psychic now?

    ReplyDelete
  41. G'night Jeremy.

    Barry;
Weren't they all named for planets?

    ReplyDelete
  42. only a couple of them

    ReplyDelete
  43. I thought that was the scariest movie I'd ever seen as a teen. The idea of being vulnerable and these people with the advantage going after you.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I learned that you should carry a pickaxe with you.

    ReplyDelete
  45. I have a cute little pepper spray on my keychain. I use my wit. One time, I was cornered by a group of super uber creepy gang dudes. I looked at the youngest sweetest looking one (totally out of place, the others were horrifying) and I said "I can't believe how much you've grown! Jeez, I just saw you mom this morning and she was talking about you. That is crazy." He sort of blinked in confusion and I managed to extract myself. They weren't going to mess with someone who could identify them or talk to their moms. Haha

    ReplyDelete
  46. I think I'll bring a cello. If I can play it like those guys I can soothe the savage beast. If not I'll hit them with it.

    ReplyDelete
  47. That was my favorite music video (other than the tear-jerking Hawaiian singer one they made for his memorial). I think I will be pulling up those cello players and watching them often. That was so sexy I couldn't believe how enthralled I was and their hands and their expressions! They were cute too! It beat any Twilight episode in suspense and handsome guys dueling.

    ReplyDelete
  48. I've never seen Twilight have I missed anything?

    ReplyDelete
  49. Only good laughs. That was soooo horrible it was delightful. Kind of like those SyFy originals.

    ReplyDelete
  50. team gatoroid !!! I've had too much wine tonight. lol

    ReplyDelete
  51. Barry on wine, huh? I guess I'll open a beer. No new Ghost Adventures but the repeat is a classic.

    ReplyDelete
  52. Mister Sharaf;
Is that so? Is it the ghosts or Big Brother that accompanies us?

    ReplyDelete
  53. I'm watching GA now and the coyotes are coming to town

    ReplyDelete
  54. Which episode are you on--the Nevada one?

    ReplyDelete
  55. I just saw a sign on the door Bonny Springs Nevada. Zak is playing gunfighter stuntman

    ReplyDelete
  56. damn the wine is gone. Why is the wine always gone?

    ReplyDelete
  57. You know, I didn't see that whole one. I am dying to see it. Won't be on for over 2 hours here. It's a marathon tonight. I heard one of them would be Sloss Furnace. I hope so. That was a good one and I loved the chick with the furnace tatt on her low back--there's nothing that says "do me big boy while gazing at a huge industrial building on my backside" than that.

    ReplyDelete
  58. I prefer that they have something useful back there like their name. That could save a lot of time.

    ReplyDelete
  59. Yes, a girl's name on her backside is practical. I know some women, however, that might be smarter to have a UPC symbol there.

    ReplyDelete
  60. angry counter is going lol

    ReplyDelete
  61. Hi all.... just found out that my Aunt passed away today. She had been suffering from cancer for a couple of years now. OK, no more sad news... I think I will watch a repeat of GA and at 8:00 watch Momento.

Barry, you need to come on a road trip with us...

    ReplyDelete
  62. multi-language instructions might be asking to much

    ReplyDelete
  63. no your husband would get jealous and I am sorry for your loss --- big hug

    ReplyDelete
  64. I'm sorry to hear about your aunt. I just lost my last uncle the other day. Honestly, I don't know what it is about nature, but my uncles died in order of my favorite to my least favorite. What's with that? He made it to 90 and not a pleasant man. It's hard to see them go. I have one dear dear aunt about to turn 90 and I am thrilled she has lasted so very long. Some day, sweetie, cancer will be like TB and totally curable. Your aunt would smile about that, I am sure. Perhaps those she loves will never succumb to it.

Barry on a road trip, huh? That would be a hoot! I'd buckle him in with Dale in the back seat and let them argue "Stop touching me!" "You, stop touching me!"

    ReplyDelete
  65. Barry, you are just afraid we might make you do something crazy, and we would...

    ReplyDelete
  66. oh i know crazy believe me i know crazy

    ReplyDelete
  67. Sis, they would be like a couple of kids in the back seat, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  68. Barry;
Crazy is Zak and the gang in the episode you're watching. Now, that's crazy.

    ReplyDelete
  69. hum, the Goldfield GA is just starting...

    ReplyDelete
  70. Man. I hate being behind on TV. I'm popping in a BF documentary. I just ordered the first season of Destination Truth, a season of Monsterquest and a season of Ancient Aliens. When they arrive, I plan to take a day off and literally just run them all day. My favorite day in the world is back to back paranormal documentaries. Some day, I'm going to make these damn documentaries--I will kick ass at it too.

    ReplyDelete
  71. although I am still interested in watch your naked ghost hunting technique

    ReplyDelete
  72. Not naked ghost hunting. Jeez! Pajama ghost hunting! Hee hee. We don't want to scare people away!

    ReplyDelete
  73. ooooh I found some peach brandy

    ReplyDelete
  74. Peach Brandy? That sounds really yum. I'm a peach soda addict and any mixed drink with peach flavors. Peaches and pears--the best tastes ever. Do you warm that with your hands against the glass or are you mixing it with something?

    ReplyDelete
  75. I have some Brandy Snifters. ooh its very nice. makes me warm

    ReplyDelete
  76. Careful with the peach brandy Barry, you just might be ghost hunting naked.

Sis, I just looked at my DVR queue and I have 21 eppys of GA and 14 eppys of DT saved... WOW! I want to start collecting seasons of MQ and DT too.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Oh Barry. That's my dream, to own a haunted estate and have a fantastic B&B where I get to cook and be hostess and every evening at 10 before the fireplace, everyone sits with snifters of brandy and I tell scary ghost tales before they go to bed. I want the walls filled with shelves and old leather bound books and a pup sleeping at the hearth. I can picture it. All you need now is a good ghost story.

    Sis;
I agree. I plan to own every DT and MQ. I am so miffed they stopped MQ and UFO hunters. Those were my favs.

    ReplyDelete
  78. naked, in the dark, in someone elses house --- been there done that

    ReplyDelete
  79. Yeah, that's just a Saturday night for Barry the Lothario.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Sis, I must have seen every MQ that featured BF. Those were my favorites.

    ReplyDelete
  81. I love it... Zak is squeamish about clowns, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  82. Me too. My fav was the one with the cabin in Canada. Let's go rent that damn thing and take a pontoon boat to it in the middle of nowhere and hunt BF? That would be my most ultimate "vacay."

    ReplyDelete
  83. I should pack up skittles and send him to Zak with a camera inside the box. That'd be priceless to see him open it.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Yeah, that cabin eppy was one of my favs too. It would be an interesting vacation to stay at the BF cabin. You would have to be sure to have your special muffins for him.

I would love to see Zak's reaction when he opens the box and out pops Skittles, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  85. I get the feeling Zak would pussy out with Dale too. Right now, I'm looking over at my ice chest and overnight case, lying out for me to remember to pack my ghost hunting gear and Dale is lying atop of it, afraid I will leave him behind. He's wearing his little coat. How cute!

    ReplyDelete
  86. Not Barry the Lothario but Barry "the naked ghost hunter" like the naked chef

    ReplyDelete
  87. So, Barry, where does one hang his tools when he hunts naked?

    ReplyDelete
  88. He is already wearing his coat. We aren't leaving till Sunday, lol. Man, he is worried that you are going to leave him with Skittles. Does he have his ghost hunting gear too?

    ReplyDelete
  89. Yeah Barry, where do you hang your gear?

    ReplyDelete
  90. I hate to give him any gear. He is likely to keep the meters on nonstop and wear the batteries out. He is not so agile, even after the surgery on his arms, he still is clumsy.

    ReplyDelete
  91. thats just the point naked as in not repling on tools but your own senses.

the camera should be turned out not aimed on the hosts. they will be enough face time before and after the hunt. When the explain what they found or didn't find.

    ReplyDelete
  92. Barry;
So, like that post I wrote about what are you packing? I agree. There is still nothing better than some simple commonsense techniques and a lot of quiet observation. Research too. Julie and I will be doing research where we're staying and we're lucky because the inn keeps an album filled with all the guests' descriptions and photos of what happened when they stayed there. We can look for commonalities and where to focus.

    ReplyDelete
  93. or naked for the fun of it lol

    ReplyDelete
  94. We will be ghost hunting in our jammies in a haunted room with Dale. It should be fun unless Dale pussies out, lol.

    ReplyDelete
  95. True. This time, I do not want something re-tucking in my sheets! Good God! That actually freaked me out. I hate being tucked in. We will be sure to pull the sheets out and loosen it all up and see if it repositions itself again. We will also tape the closet door closed so we know if it opened during the night or I will hang my chimes on the knob too.

    ReplyDelete
  96. that would be worth seeing

    ReplyDelete
  97. maybe ghi will have kris in her nighties soon

    ReplyDelete
  98. Yeah, we will mark items with tape and be ready for any kind of activity. We will be ready for Abby and her kitty. I hope she likes Dale.

    ReplyDelete
  99. Good God! Do you think Barry on GHI wears boxers with shamrocks on them? Kris probably wears Hello Kitty jammies with matching fuzzy slippers.

    ReplyDelete
  100. you don't want to see me in boxers yuck

    ReplyDelete
  101. Sis, yes I do, lol...

    Barry, boxers or briefs?

    ReplyDelete
  102. Barry as in gnostalgia? I bet he's a brief dude.

    ReplyDelete
  103. GHI's Barry probably wears shamrock boxers and our Barry I see as a brief man... correct?

    ReplyDelete
  104. Oh boy Ram Inn bring on Zak's inccubus

    ReplyDelete
  105. The infamous incubus episode--I'm surprised he didn't bury that one.

    ReplyDelete
  106. it depends usually briefs but boxers have a benefit

    ReplyDelete
  107. LOL, I am passing on that one and watching Momento.

    ReplyDelete
  108. If I were a dude and I had junk hanging down in the hot southern heat, I'd wear boxers so I don't boil my parts. Breasts have the same issues. Nothing like hoisting them up in synthetic fabric and a nasty underwire in the heat. Perhaps I should invent AZ friendly bras?

    ReplyDelete
  109. If you invented an AZ friendly bra, I would buy many of them. My girls hate being trapped in a bra but they are so big that I can't go without except at night.

    ReplyDelete
  110. Yeah, I get pains in my chest muscles when I don't wear a bra. It's hard lifting those babies up. I can't wear underwires because I'm highly allergic to nickel and even the plastic ones cause me a heat rash. Finding a good breathable fabric, sturdy straps for "big girls" and no underwire--who the frag thought you could life a D cup up with a freaking wire????

    ReplyDelete
  111. better be careful with the girls Syfy might make a movie out of them

    ReplyDelete
  112. Try lifting DD's.... those babies are bolders!

    ReplyDelete
  113. we all have are crosses to bear or is that bare

    ReplyDelete
  114. Yes, it is terrible, but we do get to be models for FoF reviews, so hey there's an advantage to it.

    ReplyDelete
  115. Yep, and we know the answer to that question when it comes to our girls.... fact!

    ReplyDelete
  116. Definitely fact! We need to find a dude to wear briefs that say that.

    ReplyDelete
  117. maybe i should do a FoF shot?

    ReplyDelete
  118. Ben would so appreciate Barry's FoF briefs.

    ReplyDelete
  119. Maybe Ben can do a ForF brief model too...

    ReplyDelete
  120. have a poll is it fact or faked?

    ReplyDelete
  121. Ben FoF? That dude is 6'7", I cannot imagine him in a briefs, but I'd love to see the expression on his cute face. He is so boyish. I'd probably forget to even check out the briefs. I'd be busy looking at his blue eyes.

    ReplyDelete
  122. blue eyes and sexy briefs.... wow, the kahlua has kicked in!

    ReplyDelete
  123. I wonder if they sell FoF boxers?

    ReplyDelete
  124. I miss Ben. I can't wait for the new season. I wish they'd dump a few of the dead weight on the show which is Jael and Larry. I think that Austin is a nice doofy trusting kind of guy and Bill is sort of the daddy of the group and logic-minded. Still, I will be honest. I wish the entire show was them sitting around a room watching video after video from online and just knocking them down. I don't want to see them in the field and building props. It's lame-o. I like to see vids that we all see online and hear them defend or dispute them like we do around the water cooler. Well, except for me. I have no water cooler. I work from home.

    ReplyDelete
  125. Ben did mention wanting to make tees that say "fact" and other ones that say "faked" and I told him to send Julie and I Fact ones.

    ReplyDelete
  126. Barry if they don't make the FoF boxers, they should.

Sis, I thought I read somewhere that Larry got canned from the show. I haven't heard anything more about it but it makes you wonder if anymore will be replaced. Not Ben of course, he is the man!

    ReplyDelete
  127. lots of the para shows are getting the axe

    ReplyDelete
  128. I'm telling you, put me on the show and SyFy would never be the same!

    ReplyDelete
  129. Barry;
Yeah. The problem is, they all think they're GH and even GH has outdone its time for such a boring format. People still desperately want paranormal, they just don't want the (yawn) boring field of hunting ghosts with electrician's tools and preconceived notions of what ghosts are and how they work.

    ReplyDelete
  130. an interesting show would have been one or two people visiting different paranormal groups. each week it would have been a different locale and different people and techniques.

    ReplyDelete
  131. I like that. I'd also like to see a long-term study in one place with actual experts in the sciences.

    ReplyDelete
  132. well g'night ladies and thank you for an entertaining evening

    ReplyDelete
  133. G'night Barry. Have happy Peach Brandy dreams.

    ReplyDelete
  134. We definitely need a paranormal show with a different concept. We already had one featuring the three stooges.

    ReplyDelete
  135. Haha. I'd like to see all paranormal things, but maybe stuff you don't see out there all the time. I'm tired of the same haunted places and same UFO witnesses.

    ReplyDelete
  136. So, you think FoF will do something stupid this time around like the Jael Mermaid incident? That was ridiculous.

    ReplyDelete
  137. I hope not. I wish they would listen to what Ben has to say and what the fans are commenting about. This show has the potential to be a good one.

    ReplyDelete
  138. I want to see him produce it like Josh Gates does. Seriously, the guy is brilliant and earnest and savvy about trends. I think he'd be a huge asset if they want another hit like DT. At least with Josh, they had a guy with smarts and talents. J&G on GH were just plumbers and part-time ghost hunters, hardly savvy and smart for what they were doing. Ben, however, is adorable and honest and intelligent. I get the feeling he'd have a plan.

    ReplyDelete
  139. You would think that syfy would see what Josh did for DT after taking over the producer job and let Ben have a chance to make FoF shine as well. His show could be a ratings winner too. Speaking of DT, I can't wait for the first ever live DT show on March 17th in Ireland, exciting!

    ReplyDelete
  140. I wonder if they'll go looking for leprechauns again?

    ReplyDelete
  141. I don't know but it should be a good one as usual.

    ReplyDelete
  142. Yeah, I love Josh, but I have to say, his changing cast is getting to look like GHI and that's a sign of trouble at home.

    ReplyDelete
  143. It's ratings are solid. I wish he'd get a sidekick that would stay. Honestly, I hate Jael on FoF--she has the most flat affect since Kris on GH, but she was good on DT. She at least was willing to climb and haul and translate. Besides, Josh needs a sidekick who can be the straight man for his jokes.

    ReplyDelete
  144. LG;
You mean here or on Destination Truth?

    ReplyDelete
  145. Martin and Lewis...lol
Josh does need the perfect straight man or woman. I like Jael on DT better too.

    ReplyDelete
  146. She actually shows up on DT this next season in Africa, I believe.

    ReplyDelete
  147. The Kahlua has kicked in and I am sleepy. Have a great night and talk with you later.

    See you Sunday sis...

    ReplyDelete
  148. Thanks for heads up! I always admire your creativity a lot. 'Seeing Faces' is interesting. If you think, really, there are faces all around.
