  1. Well, Well, Well, it's been a long time since I was on here. Good to be back!

    Glad to see you back on here, buddy. I'm excited about your knocking around H-ween ideas for this year. I want to do something symbolic this H-ween. My apartment sucks for ToT's coming and I want to do something really spooky and cool, but not sure what.

    ReplyDelete
  3. What are ya thinking by, "symbolic"? Just curious.

  4. I don't know, something not your usual thing like a haunted attraction or scary movie. I want to do something genuinely spooky and daring. I considered spending the night in an abandoned place or a graveyard or something odd like that.

  5. Hi everyone. It's been forever since I've been on here, and unfortunately I can't stay. I will try to return later! Don't have too much fun without me...

  6. Maybe you could build some really creepy, detailed costume in your spare time, and maybe wonder around your town with an old 18th-century lantern. I've always wanted to do something like that.

    That's what I'm talking about! Yeah, something costumed would be cool. I would love to go to a great Halloween party in some cool spooky place. I should probably keep my eyes open for a cool event in a small town. The creepier ghost towns around here to more fringe kind of Halloween stuff.

  8. I'm currently designing the set-up at my dad's house. Planning on having a spider-web tunnel and a great little gag for the ToTs. This trick really gonna make 'em EARN their candy! >:)

  9. Love your new banner I'm planning to change mine!

  10. HN;
    That is brilliant! I would love to just show up and go through it. I might be a bit tall at 5-feet 8-inches to be a ToT'er but I suspect you'd give me miniature Milky Way for the effort. (I love those damn things!)

  11. Oh, that's right - I was meaning to tell you, Autumn: AWESOME NEW BANNER!!!!

    ReplyDelete
  12. Hey Guys;
    The banner was a complete and total surprise. This morning, I opened up my emails and Cullan from Strange States (on my blog list) saw I was redoing my blog and sent me the banner. He is not only a brilliant paranormal investigator/writer but a talented artist. It was like Xmas! I still have a lot of work to do to finish the look of it and organize it, but I like where it's going.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Well, I'm gonna build the tunnel to be pretty tall, so anyone can go through it. Some parents might want to go up with their kids, after all.

    If by some miracle I win the KreepyKrawlys (still no announcement), I'd be back your dad's way at Halloween to go through the haunted attraction and see a life-sized model of me be killed off.

    ReplyDelete
  15. Damn, I hope you win. Your a really good writer. You deserve it!

  16. HN;
    Thanks. I wanted to put my entry up on the blog for everyone to read but I wasn't sure if that would be considered wrong since it's still an entry in the contest for the judges. I'm starting to wonder, though. They were supposed to name it in October and then they said November...

    Barry;
    Zak is worth his weight in gold.

  17. I'm never really been able to watch any ghost hunting shows because a - I don't get cable :(, and b - even if I did get cable, my dad is die hard hater of all things paranormal and horror. I'm barely allowed to talk about Halloween when he's around... Yet he can talk about phones till the cows come home!

    ReplyDelete
  18. HN;
    That is so tough. You are smart to keep yourself individual within that setting. You can be respectful of his rules but that doesn't mean giving up your own interests. Those are separate things.

  20. I know. I mean, I love him, he IS my dad, but I do sometimes feel degraded when he goes around making fun of all kinds of that I find cool or enjoyable. I gotta say, sometimes it hurts.

  21. You saw that you wanted to see Derek's ad --- there is nothing wrong with the ad. The man just makes me laugh.

    ReplyDelete
  22. Barry;
    That's freaking hilarious! God, I miss that dude! I wish he'd team up with Zak!

    HN;
    I know exactly how you feel. My ex-husband used to cringe if I mentioned I ghost hunt and then he'd make a big rolling the eyes and "she's cuckoo" expression. He thought it was embarrassing and ridiculous. I couldn't talk to him about anything I did. He couldn't even say the name of my blog--had no idea what it was called. When Ghost Lab put up a TV commercial quoting autumnforest ghost hunter about their show, he had no idea that was me even though I talked about my stuff all the time but finally gave up because he wasn't listening. It's wrong for a parent not show the respect of being interested in what their kids are into. It's thoughtless but not malicious. I think that they like to believe their kids are just like them and continuing the same line. Sometimes they forget what really matters. The lucky thing is, you grow up, move out and have a blast. I just did something I couldn't do in my marriage home--I ordered a beautiful piece of Michael Myers art for over my fireplace. I'll be showcasing it on the blog when I receive it and hang it up. It's a statement of freedom to me.

    ReplyDelete
  23. Yeah, let's be honest - Mikey kicks total ass! I'd love to have a poster for "Trick 'r Treat" for my room. Maybe once I save up enough...

    ReplyDelete
  24. HN;
    Yes! I have to admit that ToT was a good movie. I adored that it took place on Halloween and captured all the Halloween creepiness. The ghosts in the front yard--very cool. The Little Red Riding Hood wolf thing and the kids with the offerings for the bus load of kids was very creepy and cool. The atmosphere was awesome. Why can't more moviemakers make Halloween movie that take place on HALLOWEEN???

  25. It's funny - my sister was watching some made for TV Halloween-themed flick on Nickelodeon. Since the imagery was gorgeous, but the plot stupid and predictable (no shock there, right?) I just plugged in my earbuds and jammed to Nox Arcana. Bliss!

    ReplyDelete
  26. Nox Arcana works every time. When I work on my writing, that's what I listen to. Sometimes, I just have it playing on my ipod docking station throughout the apartment while I'm doing chores around the place. It's great background atmosphere. I am having a lot of fun putting up spooky things and books about ghosts and things I couldn't display in my home. One time, I decided to live out a fantasy of having a theme room and since my ex was paranoid about people seeing the stuff (I did the house medieval one time and he hated it), I turned the master bath into a pirate ghost ship. There were tea-stained tattered sail cloth billowing across the ceiling and portholes with scenes of the ocean I painted in them. There were skulls and jewels and dark furnishings and it felt like you were in a creaky old ghost ship. It was so fun. He thought I'd lost my mind. That actually pleased me. If I wasn't making him uncomfortable, I wasn't being myself.

    ReplyDelete
  27. One of these days, I'll order their pirate album. I've heard bootleg tracks on YouTube, and it sounds like one of their best. So far, I own House of Nightmares (AMAZING), Grimm Tales (ok), and Carnival of Lost Souls (very creepy). Definetly some really astounding dark ambient. I'm actually listening to HoN right now!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Transylvania has been one of my favs lately. I'm going on a cool 3-hour hike through South Mountain with a UFO dude showing us petroglyphs and explaining why UFOs visited Indians long ago. Should be entertaining and interesting. I'll cover it on the blog, no doubt.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hey sounds fun! Will I gotta get going. Nice talking with ya, Autumn. Talk care!

  30. Great idea, sad I missed it =]

    Brandy Green

    Some things in the interview jump out:"paranormal television craze has hurt the field more than helped it. [...] investigators” based on looks and whether they are excitable or not. Experience is not a requirement [...] based on ratings. Poor ratings mean no money "

    ReplyDelete
  33. Wow! An honest interview with no "make nice-nice" with everyone attitude. She was honest and straightforward and when GH first came out I laughed at the notion that what I do as a hobby would be considered something anyone would want to watch. It's right up there with watching sprouts grow in a mason jar.

  34. Hi everyone, I am here briefly and just starting to watch GA. Have lots to do tomorrow before we leave.

    ReplyDelete
  35. Hey Sis;
    I will wish you a happy and safe trip and tons and tons of picture-taking op's. Let me know what you think of GA

    ReplyDelete
  36. You know me, there will be lots of pictures. We are getting very excited. Right now they are checking out the clown hotel and Zak is freaking out.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Zak is freaking out over clowns lol

  38. Oh, you guys are killing me! I have to wait 2 1/2 more hours! Sounds great!

    ReplyDelete
  39. They know they have to milk it. Damn! They need to get us to do the PJ ghost hunts and Travel Channel will be a Friday-night hit!

    ReplyDelete
  40. uh oh rock throwing --- its all fun and games until someone loses an eye

    ReplyDelete
  41. I am sure the travel channel will want to put our pj ghost hunts on *wink*

    ReplyDelete
  42. I know Barry, those damn ghosts don't care who they hurt.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I would watch it *wink*

  44. Yes, we must do another episode of pajama ghost hunt. Perhaps on our Salton Sea adventure. I wonder if Vin-Meister minds holding the camera for us? That would help a lot. Poor guy, we keep making him do our grunt work.

    ReplyDelete
  45. Vins is a cool dude, he would do it.

  46. I need to make tabs on my blog if I can figure out how the frag to do it. I'd love to have tabs for videos, Dale the Doll, LAUGH, and theories. The PJ ghost hunt--needs it's own YouTube channel, I'm thinking.

  52. Dale definitely needs his own tab.

    ReplyDelete
  53. Sis, ask Alex. He will be happy to help you.

    ReplyDelete
  54. You are right Pangs, he does need his own tab.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I have the company of Miss Lagavulin. I'll wish you all good night.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Sis;
    I don't think he knows. He hasn't spent a lot of time on blogger stuff, but perhaps I can find someone to take pity on me.

    Pangs;
    Dale has his own blog, but I do not want to see him writing on it. It would be a mess. He's enough of a ham as it is. He definitely deserves a tab, the little booger.

    ReplyDelete
  57. Sucio; good night!

    Sis, I am sure that one of your followers will be able to assist you. Just put out the word...

    I readily admit that I'm one of those people that my entire life, I try to do everything on my own and not ask for help. I get mad when I can't figure something out on my own. I will do some research, try somethings and see if I can get it to work. I have Dale's blog and I can test shit out on his without screwing up mine and once I figure it out, I can apply it to my blog. He might bitch and moan, but tough shit.

  63. I want to talk to Zak lol

    ReplyDelete
  64. You're killing me, what's going on? I have to wait 2 hours to see it.

    ReplyDelete
  65. Apparently there is a ghost that isn't happy to see Zak again!

    I am sure you will figure it out. At least you got Dale's blog to mess with. I am sure the little booger wouldn't be happy if he knew it.

    ReplyDelete
  66. Yeah, well, so long as he's trying to pick up Shattered Sheila, it leaves him distracted. :-)

    ReplyDelete
  67. No drinking. I think he's afraid to since he has to sleep next to Skittles.

    ReplyDelete
  68. LOL, Skittles still scares him, poor baby!

    ReplyDelete
  69. Yeah, well, Dale tries to play it up like it doesn't bother him, but it does. I might feel sorry for him at some point and move the dolls around. The next acquisition is the mannequin. I'm shopping for her right now.

    ReplyDelete
  70. no bricks, just a bunch of other stuff...

    ReplyDelete
  71. Perhaps we will find her on our next trip. I also want to look for cool stuff for a giveaway.

    ReplyDelete
  74. Dang, Pangs! You get to see it? I hate being the last to see what happens.

    ReplyDelete
  75. I will bidazzle his mask for him. He needs to update his haircut too.

    ReplyDelete
  76. I'm telling you, Zak needs extensions for a Fabio look.

    ReplyDelete
  77. Can't you see him fleeing down a hallway with his hair flowing behind him?

    ReplyDelete
  78. Ok peeps, I am leaving...
    Have a nice night!

    ReplyDelete
  79. I can just picture him doing the surprise-face head turn to face the cam and simultaneously flipping his Fabio hair over his shoulder.

    ReplyDelete
  80. Pangs;
    You can see it with his cheesy graphic tees and running like a girl (like how he ran away from the snakes). He'd have that Farrah moment of flicking it over his shoulder and puckering for the camera.

    ReplyDelete
  81. Man you get more hits than a 1986 party line.

    ReplyDelete
  82. I hate to cut out, but I've been up since 6 am and I can barely keep my eyes open. Calling it a night. (yawn)
