  3. Its an old b/w Hammer film about a mysterious force in some moors

    ReplyDelete
  4. Let me look...I looked at the collection of Hammers I have and they're the classic monster ones. Darn! That sounds good. I will looked into it. Wouldn't matter anyways, I still haven't figured out how to hook up my goddamned DVD player yet, but I'm one determined bitch.

  5. Howdy, Autumn! It's Me again! (que dramatic music and sounds of innocent bystanders fleeing in horror)

  6. HalloweeNut;
Why do I think it's more likely it's the sound of girls sighing dreamily? Welcome to the place to be on Friday night. Tell me about your party plans.

    ReplyDelete
  7. Well, things are going great! Just finished up the music playlist and I'm almost done decorating. Unfortunately, a lot of people won't be able to come, but those who will are sure to have a blast!

Oh, and about the "girls sighing dreamily" thing - not happening, at least not to me, I'm like girl-repellent, for whatever reason.

  8. You've gotten my attention, darling, so there must be content there worth cherishing. You simply need the confidence that comes with knowing that you're way ahead of the game. Your blog is a great example. You have more substance than someone twice your age and are much much more interesting. I wish there were guys like you in high school. I was stuck dating some of the most awful losers and was really looking for a horror-loving nerd. Don't know if you classify yourself as a horror nerd, but I was. It wasn't at all "in" when I was in high school and it made me quite the weirdo. I never did listen to the crowd. My blog shows, I still don't. You just need to get to a place where you realize how incredibly unique you are and it will show when you approach the women. They will be lucky to find someone who engages their mind and their humor.

    ReplyDelete
  9. Aw, thanks! I think you just about made my day!

I think the reason maybe girls (or at least, the cute ones) tend to avoid me like the plague is BECAUSE of my interests - i.e, Halloween, horror, Theme Parks, etc. and they all think I'm nuts. Not that I care, mind you, I've know I was "nuts" since I was a little kid. Never quite fit in, you know? But your right, all the guys at my school are dumb, wannabe-macho jocks, who, simply because they're good looking, have girls dripping of them. Ah, well. I'll find a girl one of these days. I hope.

    ReplyDelete
  10. Don't know, HalloweeNut. Do you really want them? I was a model and a pageant gal and I can tell you, I was the only one I ever knew with any substance. Don't know what I was doing in the field except it made my mother happy to have one daughter who didn't run around in blue jeans with no makeup. Perhaps I'm some sort of weird freak, but I was always different and kind of pushed it (think of that girl in "Breakfast Club" who wouldn't talk). Yeah, I liked to shock people and scare them away in high school. I was a pretty girl but the guys were scared of me. You had to earn your way into my inner circle. That's what this blog is about, finding my tribe. You're part of my tribe now and you fit in perfectly. You just have to find your people. There were a lot of jocks who wanted down my pants, but they had to get past the spooky girl first. Nope. They wouldn't do it. You're running into the same thing. When you feel confident with who you are and where you're coming from, you can relax and smile and laugh more and then they approach you. People that meet me think I'm the sweetest and most docile creature in the world, perky and giggly and silly and then they discover I hunt ghosts and write erotic horror. They shake their heads. I have found a compromise. I love that I'm not a robot like the others and have some depth and interests and that makes me confident enough to be approachable. Now, a guy wouldn't mind me dating me even though I love horror and chase ghosts because I'm not the brooding type any longer. Sometimes, it comes with age, but in your case, dear, it should come from knowing that I find you very intriguing and if you can make an old cougar like me intrigued, then you can certainly turn your peers' heads.

  11. Again, thanks. Some of the most sound advice I've heard in a while. I've tried asking my dad for advice to no avail. He's advice is simply to "stop being so over fixated on horror". Useless advice, if you ask me. You can't change someone to fit what you THINK they should be, and that's what he's kinda doing. But then again, he's a bit over religous like his fiancee, and they both shake their at my antics. At least at have my mom, and my stepdad's family, who not only support my craziness, they ENJOY it! And of course, I've got you, Autumn, and my other blog friends. :D

  12. @ HalloweeNut

I spent time with a cheerleader in Highscool. That was the worst time of my life ( well in the top ten --- gall bladder surgery was worst).

I used to carry her bags like a goofy valet.

The good ones will find you.

  13. HalloweeNut;
I have no doubt in my mind you are doing exactly what you are internally driven to do. That means will succeed at it. You know your expertise and interest. I have lost some relatives, including my useless big brother, because of the religious issues with ghost hunting and horror. It is a thankful thing because I do not want to impress him. If I'm doing that, I'm totally on the wrong track for ME. Have you ever considered starting a group of kids who like to ghost hunt or maybe do some grave rubbings in cemeteries with some others? If you're into art, sketching with others in graveyards is cool. If you're into writing (which your blog shows), you might consider writing some horror short stories. You can even let people know you're starting a writer's critique group for people who like to write dark stuff. Jeez, in high school there should be plenty of goths. We had none when I was in school. I truly was a weirdo. If you're planning a future around special effects and makeup, you might consider taking a theater arts class if they have them in school. I studied it and learned how to make incredible fake wounds. There are a lot of teens who are into your stuff. There might even be a local ghost hunting group you can join. Don't ever give up what makes you so unique. There's a reason you love it so much--it calls to you. When you follow a calling, you succeed. It may be in a month or in a few years before you realize how glad you are that you're unique. I don't ever want to be like the size 0 soccer moms in my uppity neighborhood. Just slap me if I ever lose my individuality. I'll do the same for you. :-)

  15. I'm actually thinking of getting a few of my more artistic friends involved in my haunt next year. Not gonna say much about next year; let's just say, I'll have a clean, blank new slate, and new direction, more disturbing and darker then ever before! But I have a friend who also into Halloween, she's really good with costumes for theater and just might want to get involved. I'm also gonna try and get a few actor recruits from the theater dept. (I'm on good terms with the Music/Theater teacher, and might pull some strings). I actually have written a few short stories for school, and I'm currently working on expanding one called "Silver Screams". It's set in an old grindhouse theater, and plays off the voyeuristic side of horror movies. I think it's one of my best!

  16. If you want to share any writing, please do.

You are really already on the ball. You might even consider doing some horror shorts and putting them on YouTube. I think you'd be brilliant at the way you view things. Cemeteries and dark woods all make great locales and friends love to be in on these things. The group expands as friends bring in other friends.

Oh, and those gals who don't get horror--stay away. I'm finalizing a divorce with a man I started dating at 16 who thought ghosts were ridiculous and horror is awful. Guess it shows that over the long-term, you seriously need that compatibility.

  17. @ HalloweeNut

That sounds good. That sounds beter than a girl named Candy.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Zak just asked a spirit what color are your pants?

    Zak beware the incubus

    ReplyDelete
  19. Barry;
Isn't this episode just like their old first season fantastic ones with spookiness and ridiculousness? I love when they pull out the speaking ghost box (wah wah SciFi music inserted here)

    ReplyDelete
  20. Well, I'd best be off. Thanks for the support and encouragement, Autumn. You too, Gnostalgia. I needed it. Now as the CryptKeeper would say, "Scare ya later, kiddies"! (suddenly, angry villagers return for the HalloweeNut, armed with torches and pitchforks. HalloweeNut simply vanishes in a puff of smoke and candy corn)

  21. HalloweeNut;
You are such a delight and a prize! Go forth and scare up some folks

    ReplyDelete
  22. You know you could so easily satire GA by adding your own sound effects ...lol

    ReplyDelete
  23. Now I know I need to get together with my son on that. He loves to make fun of the show more than anything in the world and he knows how to insert sound effects. If you have the sounds coming and them reacting to them, it could be freaking hilarious. Yet another project ahead of me. No doubt this season will induce another LAUGH episode involving Zak seeing an ER doctor about all the parts the ghosts have been messing with and trying to get him to believe he's really being yanked and slapped and scratched and bit.

    ReplyDelete
  24. was this spirit being a smartass? lol

    ReplyDelete
  25. I admit to seeing the episode ahead of time, but I can't wait to see it now because I snuck and watched it during work and couldn't give it the big-screen and in the dark scenario. It did look positively delightful. I love these guys. I only wish Travel Channel would give them about 4 more episodes a season and maybe pay to send them to foreign countries where they can insult people and generally make them scratch their heads and get kicked by ancient ghost butt.

    ReplyDelete
  26. Zak's incubus is touching his back lol

    ReplyDelete
  27. Hello everyone, watching GA and then GL.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Why are they frickin' golfing.....get on with the lockdown boys!

    ReplyDelete
  29. Hi Julie

    Love your pics

    ReplyDelete
  30. Okay, I gotta wait over an hour for the show, bummer! I saw it already but I didn't hear it because I had to have the volume off. You like it so far?

    ReplyDelete
  31. Yeah, I turned the volume one when they were using the ghost box and they got some pretty cool stuff. I got a bit of a chill.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Those guys are a hoot

    ReplyDelete
  33. I just got done watching Harry and the Hendersons! What a great movie!

    ReplyDelete
  34. watching yesterday's ghost lab right now...

    ReplyDelete
  35. i finally saw Zombieland and liked it

    ReplyDelete
  36. Zombieland was pretty good for a zombie movie. It entertained me quite well.

    ReplyDelete
  37. I want my own Bigfoot

    ReplyDelete
  38. I'm not sure about that Barry, did you see what Harry did to the Henderson's house? You would have to bigfoot proof your house first.

    ReplyDelete
  39. Harry and the Hendersons is the best! Yes! Yes! Yes! I want my own BF! But only if he had puppy dog eyes and can curl his lips. That was so precious. I love big stupid hairy beasts. Damn! I forgot about Ghost Lab! Hope they didn't use one of my quotes for a commercial again.

    ReplyDelete
  40. Yeah but he would keep the mailman in line !

    ReplyDelete
  41. Damn! Barry you're right, but then if BF retrieves your mail, it's gonna be in worse shape, you know. Maybe your mail carrier is a BF in human clothing??? Could explain the ham-fisted handling of your precious packages. Hey, is anyone actually taking drinks while watching the show? I want to know if anyone gets buzzed.

    ReplyDelete
  42. No mailman in his right mind would mess with you with a bf friend hanging around your house. You shouldn't have anymore problems getting your mail.

    ReplyDelete
  43. I think my handsome UPS man that comes nearly every (I said comes as if arrives at the doorstep--puh-lease) thinks my tortured dolls, Dale and Skittles are cute. He doesn't even bat an eye when he approaches now and he used to stop a moment and stare (at them, not me. Okay, okay, he does look down my shirt, but he holds the electronic signing thing down low and I"m tall. I think he does it on purpose, what do you think?

    ReplyDelete
  44. I would be afraid to deliver mail to a house with dolls staring at me out the window as I walked up to the house. That would be too creepy!

    ReplyDelete
  45. He could leave your deliveries at the office but I think he enjoys peeking down your shirt at the girls.

    ReplyDelete
  46. I do intend to expand the doll lineup, but first I want to finish my scary collection with a mannequin. Then, I will be completely and totally with everything that ever scared me as a kid together in one place. I had a therapist once who told me I'm counter-phobic and tend to make myself do the things I'm most scared of. It's a good description. I hate weak spots-I press at them until I no longer flinch.

    ReplyDelete
  47. He does have a big goofy grin when I take his package, I mean, take the package... Har har (I love bawdy humor. I am not in any way flirting with the UPS man. That is so common and overused and besides, he's handsome but not my type. I like them a bit more rough around the edges and less primped. If I have a hint a man wears mousse or spray--ICK!

    ReplyDelete
  48. Gabriel;
What's next after Harry and the Hendersons??

    ReplyDelete
  49. Henderson and the Harry...if you know what I mean. ;)

    ReplyDelete
  50. You naughty boy. Be sure and tame that beast.

    ReplyDelete
  51. now watching Revenge of the Nerds....."we have bush"

    ReplyDelete
  52. G'night Sis!

I'm sitting here finally watching GA!

    ReplyDelete
  53. Me too. Zac is very excitable all the time. Is Dale drinking champagne?

    ReplyDelete
  54. No booze for Dale tonight. He plays with the empty bottle. It fools him into thinking he's drinking. He sucks on the rim of it just for the residual taste.

    ReplyDelete
  55. Exactly. Skittles gets high on eating skittles, so why not?

    ReplyDelete
  56. Hellos! How is everyone tonight?

    ReplyDelete
  57. How's it going tonight? Lol Like I said, I tend to get in late... I'm attempting to get the A&P in my head, I feel like my brain is mush now :-p

    ReplyDelete
  58. Hey, just saw Ghost Adventures -- hahahaha. It was most excellently typical. How are things in your neck of the woods?

    ReplyDelete
  59. Lol Hmm, well... I have my Honors Society Induction tomorrow... and I'm having a debate right now as to whether or not Arabic is a pretty language... Guys are silly, striking up debates like that with a belly dancer :-p

    ReplyDelete
  60. Soraya;
You put them in their place! So, how is school going for you? I'm so excited about your future.

    ReplyDelete
  61. Oh I'm workin on it. Lol I think I won :-p
Schools going pretty good. I'm a little nervous about this test... He threw a lot at us at once... Muscles, Bones, Cartilage... I wish the test was split up... Bones and Cartilage.. THEN muscles... Would have been much easier. I feel like I've learned a new language learning it all :-p

    ReplyDelete
  62. Oh yes, the memories! I went through all that too. The only thing that helped me--a lot--was that I took Latin in high school and so the names of things helped me a lot, especially with spellings. Wait until you learn about drugs. For some insane reason, I caught onto that much easier than anatomy but most everyone else had nearly failing grades. I have a weird mind for spellings and can compartmentalize stuff. When did anatomy, I took one of my son's GI Joe's and actually used a sharpie to write the names of the muscles and then when I took the test, I could picture the doll in my head and read what was on it's back and such. Weird, but it worked.

    ReplyDelete
  63. Haha, Strangely enough, it's the bands that are helping me out. Like the Empty space around cells in Cartilage and Bones... The Lacunae... I listen to Lacuna Coil - Empty Spiral. So I connected that...
The Sacrum (I mess up the S's alot.) I try to remember that as Apocalypticas one song "Sacra" ... I have weird memory methods.

    ReplyDelete
  64. That is awesome. I am always intrigued by how people remember things and learn. I am photographic in memory, but it sounds like you could even use your dance to help you remember things too. I am certain you are entering the right line of work. Those patients will be soooo lucky to have you helping them. You have a huge heart. Now, tell me girl-to-girl, any love prospects? Did you know my divorce goes through soon? I'm soooo excited. I don't even know if you knew I moved out at the beginning of September. I live in the same apartment complex as my son. My first time on my own in my entire life and I won't divulge my age, but I have a 22-year-old son.

    ReplyDelete
  65. I'm workin on it. lol I think I've joked with some of it. I've been trying to make jokes about the different muscles and bones... Like alot of people go "/facepalm" so I joke around and go /frontalbonemetalcarpals. Lame. I know. Lmfao!
Ehhh, Not really. Although I have discovered that the moment I decided "screw it, I'm gonna focus on school" i've had a few guys show interest... just not really what I'm wanting right now.
I did read that :-) I'm happy for you ^.^ Glad that you can be who you are now :-p I didn't know it was in your sons complex, That's good too :)
Sorry for the late reply... I got caught up with a friend joking around about how I'd DOMINATE the dance competition at Blizzcon for Female Draenei. Or Female Night elf. I'm such a nerd. :-p

    ReplyDelete
  66. Soraya;
A delightful nerd! I love it! I am quite content. No dating. Just learning to be on my own and get published. My ex did a number on my self esteem. Right now, I'm just relaxing that I'm not under his OCD controlling ways. Still can't believe I can do whatever I want. It's so freaking liberating, it's kind of intimidating. I find myself smiling goofy all the time because I'm just so giddy with relief. Well, I probably should get to bed now. I have to get up and work tomorrow. As you will learn, health care workers don't get holidays and weekends off. Let me know how you did on the test, dear. I get the feeling you'll ace it!

    ReplyDelete
  67. Yeah lol Being a nerd at my level isn't too bad. :-p I like to say that I'm just well rounded. :-p
And I'm so happy for you that you're feeling that way :) The freedom seems to do you well :)
And alright, Maybe next Friday I'll be here a bit earlier :-p
I'm hoping I ace it. I set the bar too high with the first test. Got a 100 on that one. I'm hoping for the same result. :-p
    Goodnight!
