Burned Out House in the Desert

Julie and I explored this yesterday, along with the abandoned trailer park (below).

  1. LOVED the fireplace! Do you think you and Ju could stick it in your trunk or strap it to the top of the car and bring it home for me? Or at least when you arrive close to SC, I'll come meet you and pick it up! LOLOLOLOLOL

    I was thinking the same thing. They seriously built that to handle fires (duh). The mantle was complete and total charcoal, just a slab of it. It was really spectacular walking around in that place and the smell coming from it. Made me hunger for some burgers and hot dogs....

  3. Much better choice of music than "Burning Down the House". It gave it a more creepy feel to it. That fireplace was so cool just standing there intact while everything around it was destroyed. I am doing a post on Mobile and will add these pictures to that post.

  5. Smelled amazing. It was just so bizarre to walk through. As a psychic, the feelings coming from it were like screaming voices--just high pitched and nasty like white noise on a radio.

  6. Reminds me of a cemetery. I always liked how cemeteries smell.

  7. Loved the music. Kept expecting the usual disembodied ghost hunter voice to shout "What was that?" or "Did you hear that?"

    Yeah, it felt like nothing was alive there.

    I had a scene from that with the wind swinging a gate and making squealing sounds. I was thinking of doing a film of just that because it's eerie the way the wind sweeps by out there in the open and rusty hinges squeak and insulation flaps in the wind. I want to know the story of this place and how it got to be like that.

  11. Hey Bror;
    Thanks. I tried to use "Burning down the House" but YouTube kicked me out for using it. Bastards. Oh well, the creepy music from Nox Arcana Transylvania was better,I think. Max did an amazing job and I'm so proud of it. He put my soul into it somehow and I feel like it portrays me fully. What an artist!

  12. Hey Autumn, I just had a really really REALLY weird experience, and I just posted about it on my Blog... I was hoping you could look at it. I'm kind of freaked out, and I want to know what your thoughts are on it... Maybe my mind is just playing tricks on me or what... :)
