You Will Not See This Again!

Yeah, leave it to me to show you a picture of me in my bellydancing scarf without the skirt. Yup! I'm an idiot! I have to say the class has been surprisingly rigorous and surprisingly fun. Even though I dance for about 90 minutes of hip hop/rock dance a day as I work to get myself into bikini worthy shape and I (as you can see) have no hips or ass (I had to stick it out for this picture--hee hee), I am having fun shaking my self in weird new ways and it's actually helping my hip hop/rock dance. One thing about me, I can't get enough of new and strange experiences. I want life to be an adventure. What was your latest adventure? I'd love to hear something new you have learned recently.

  3. looking super good!

    last adventure [of sorts]: took my pup to vet, found the pencil-rubber sized growth is a blood blister and not cancerous... should be gone in three weeks or so, with help from a cream he prescribed... relieved to hear that!

  5. Looking good...all the dancing and exercise is definitely working. I have been listening to my ipod and dancing around the house. My dogs think I am crazy.

  6. When I saw the picture, I said ,"Yowza!" lol. Girl, you've got nice legs...you should flaunt them! I think it's great you are finding confidence and beauty in your body by belly dancing. That sounds fun! Eventually I'd love to take a class too. :) Oh, and you're awesome too Autumn. I'm very glad I've found you in the blogging world. ((hugs))

  7. Okay, after seeig this pic I am never believing you again. You have a GORGEOUS figure! Look at those great legs! And what do you mean no hips or ass? You have SUCH a cute shape! You wanna see an ass? I got way too much. So when I see what you've got...it's PERFECT SIZED! And your legs...you're so, so, so lucky not to have the cellulite. I've had it since I was a teenager and as I've gained it's only gotten worse. You have gorgeous legs to go with the rest of your gorgeous body. But most important you have a gorgeous spirit. 8. Max; Glad to give you an adventure.
    Cindi; My legs are the one thing that no matter what happens to the rest of me, they refuse to give in to the trend (bless them!)
    Laughing Wolf; Thank you.
    Dolly; Thanks. Yes, I'm sure ya'all can expect the unexpected from me. I like to shock myself and others.
    Julie; Yeah, I love to shake what I don't have. I always feel like a praying mantis dancing--all arms and legs, but I still love to do it.
    Kim; Your attitude and your gentle heart have really been an amazing inspiration for me. I sure hope you're feeling better, lamb.
    Court; Yes, you do know my childhood nickname, don't you. She-She Whookie Nuts Push-Push Marsidose Mabohoo Thorvaldsen Day! Thanks for the compliment. The rest of me is working to catch up with my legs. They are always very cooperative, but I still have another 40 pounds to go to get to my old swimsuit model size. Ouch! I might settle for 30 cause my legs will become twigs at that point. I really don't like bellydancing (hate the music), but I am glad I'm making myself learn it because the moves are helping my dance and, who knows, maybe some day I'll do a private show of the routine (now there's incentive to keep losing)!

  9. Gorgeous!
    Now, what will Autumn try next?
    (concentrating)
    Hmmm, I see something metal... brass... looks like... a pole of some sort...

  10. Wow, you look awesome!! My new adventure (haven't done it yet but am planning) is going to be taking a martial arts class :)

  11. B.G.;
    I'm trying to beg my buddy who made me take this class to take the striptease one. I'd still be awkward in there, but hell at least I'd be getting a marketable skill....

    Lyn;
    Thanks! I love the idea of taking martial arts. I took Kung Fu version of self defense and it changed my confidence totally. I learned that if a dude decides to try to take me down, I have absolutely not issues digging his eyeballs out and making him blind for it. I say go for it!

  12. Gabriel;
    Missing the "natural" pendulous breasts with fur on them, though. You sure that baby's got your kind of back?

  13. I can see a few little hairs on those legs... ;)

  14. Are you trying to turn me into your girlfriend, cause it's not gonna work--I don't prance around the woods naked swinging my big long arms--but I suppose I could be talked into it.

  15. Hmm, a cougar bigfoot. Now that's hott!

  16. Honey, I know I'll never be called that again--you just made my day with that bizarre compliment.

  17. Autumn's newest move in our bellydancing class is called the "train wreck" (you got that inside information from her ghost hunting buddy and bellydancing friend)

  18. Show off! My new adventure- run far away to get away from everyone!

  19. Brian;
    You don't want to get away from everyone--who would you make those yummy treats for?

  20. Beautiful hip scarf ! I've been bellydancing for the past 8 years, and it's the only thing that's helped me through bouts of depression. It has been fun, healing, and connected me with girlfriends.

    I hope it brings you joy like it has for me.

  21. Jessica and Barry;
    Thanks.

    Senorita;
    Thanks. It has definitely connected me more with the separate parts of my body when I dance and has helped my hip hop/rock dance style. I'm not sure I'd do it anymore. I have to be honest, the music drives me nuts--it's too whiny for me. I'm a rock kinda gal, but it has been fun to learn about something new. I can see why women get hooked on it. If I could do it to rock music-I'd totally be there!

  22. Good God, girl! You have some outstanding legs there! Great to see them, and thanks for the Post.

  23. Tanards! That's my word verification for this. Tankards with leotards? Tits-&-arse nerds? Tanning avian hearts? I dunno. But it's very early '70s. The sixties blended beautifully in its newfound decade of Women's Libsiness & all around acceptance of Pop psychedelia, the British Invasion, & blending Day-Glo colours with never-before-contemplated fashion fabriques, like chain links (see here), patent leather & vinyl as more than just footwear, with a doff of the cap to the Mod era that married the Hippie chic of the '60s with the futurism of the Diana Rigg character, Mrs. Emma Peel of The Avengers. Sigh. I loved those days ~ (•8-D

  24. I think you should do LINE DANCING next---that'll boggle your brain! (and then you can model a mini jean skirt)

  25. Debe;
    Definitely not gonna happen. Country music makes me want to strangle the band. I'm going through a ska-punk phase now in dance. I was a serious skateboarder and the music just gets me moving crazy.
