Chilean Mummies, UFOs, Aliens, Mining?

The recent episode of “Destination Truth” prodded me to write more about the subject of the Chilean (Chile has the largest copper mines in the world) mummies and aliens, UFOs, and the mining areas. I recently wrote a post about the connections in heavy mining areas with UFO sightings and alien sightings. A copper mine in Mexico was the place where the “Starchild” skull was discovered by a woman hiding from a storm. This skull has been examined extensively and confused the experts with its alien-like features. An episode of "Monsterquest" pursuing the flying humanoids sightings in Mexico led the public exposure of a small alien-looking creature supposedly killed by a farmer and whose tiny body is being examined by experts who are baffled by its human-like shape and strange cranium and upright posture.

Flying humanoids, copper mines, alien creatures hiding in caves, Starchild skull, unusually high percentages of citizens having sleep paralysis … All these features are curiously interwoven.

But, why?

First, let’s discuss the Chilean mummies. They are described well by Wikipedia: “The Chinchorro mummies are mummified remains of individuals from the South American Chinchorro culture found in what is now northern Chile and southern Peru. They are the oldest examples of mummified human remains, dating to thousands of years before the Egyptian mummies. They are believed to have first appeared around 5000 B.C. and reaching a peak around 3000 B.C. Often Chinchorro mummies were elaborately prepared by removing the internal organs and replacing them with vegetable fibers or animal hair. In some cases an embalmer would remove the skin and flesh from the dead body and replace them with clay. Shell midden and bone chemistry suggest that 90% of their diet was seafood. Many ancient cultures of fisherfolk existed, tucked away in the arid river valleys of the Andes, but the Chinchorro made themselves unique by their dedicated preservation of the dead. The Chinchorro mummies are significant because during the periods of these mummies, everyone who died was mummified, including children, new-borns and fetuses. This shows that it was not reserved for those of high rank or high status - mummification was not a sign of social stratification. Radiocarbon dating reveals that the oldest, discovered Chinchorro mummy was that of a child from a site in the Camarones Valley, about 60 miles south of Arica and dates from around 5050 B.C. The mummies continued to be made until about 1800 B.C., making them contemporary with Las Vegas culture and Valdivia culture in Ecuador and the Norte Chico civilization in Peru. The Chinchorro mummies are the earliest examples of the deliberate preservation of the dead. The mummies may have served as a means of assisting the soul in surviving, and to prevent the bodies from frightening the living.

The massive amounts of baby mummies were believed to be the result of mercury poisoning which is very high in Chile. Mercury poisoning the waterways is common in copper mining areas, especially long ago when no one understood the environmental ramifications. But, could the mercury cause more than just poisoning? Here are just some of the symptoms of mercury poisoning: irritability, anxiety/nervousness, often with difficulty in breathing, restlessness, exaggerated response to stimulation, fearfulness, emotional instability, lack of self control, fits of anger, with violent, irrational behavior, loss of self confidence, indecision, shyness or timidity, being easily embarrassed, loss of memory, inability to concentrate, lethargy/drowsiness, insomnia, mental depression, despondency, withdrawal, suicidal tendencies, manic depression, numbness and tingling of hands, feet, fingers, toes, or lips, muscle weakness progressing to paralysis, ataxia, tremors/trembling of hands, feet, lips, eyelids or tongue, incoordination.

Now, let’s talk theories…you know I enjoy that process.

Are these sightings of UFOs and alien-like creatures a sign that aliens are attracted to mining areas for reasons of resources?

Are the sightings of UFOs and alien-like creatures a sign of mercury poisoning and issues with the mental state of the locals, especially those who live close to the mines and drink water that’s been corrupted by mercury?

Are these alien-looking creatures somehow a life form affected by living and evolving in the mining areas that are corrupted by mercury?

Are none of these issues related? Are lights in the sky and flying humanoids completely unrelated to the reports of strange alien creatures? Could these creatures actually be a process separate from the UFOs, such as a creature that evolved within the caves with large eyes and colorless skin to survive the conditions?

Are the lights and UFO sightings actually some form of earthlights or spooklights caused by the mineralogy and tectonics of the area and the alien-looking creatures a legend born from fear of the caves and mines?

I would love to hear theories ya'all might have. This is an interesting and perplexing set of phenomenon, very regional, and definitely worth theorizing.

  1. Excellent article.

    What are your thoughts on the recent discovery of Ardi as it relates to the evolutionary gap and crystal skulls?

    Cheers!

  2. Andre;
    Admittedly, the crystal skulls have always been a puzzle for me but one that doesn't sit right. I've read several articles that said the small ones were real, the life-sized ones were fakes. This is a bit like the chilean skeleton Destination Truth found...we just don't have access to experts and those who've reviewed it. I saw a documentary once that examined a skull and found the carving marks and that it wasn't such an amazing feat. Others have said the skulls were made of a single piece of quartz. I don't know how anyone can make a decision based on hearsay. If I go on a ghost hunting study, I always listen to the people who complain of events taking place in the building, but I never use that as proof of ghosts. If I were to actually hold one, I'd probably come to my own conclusion. I am very interested in Edgar Cayce's visions and the one that involved us gaining ancient knowledge had something to do with findings in the Yucatan, Bimini and Egypt. The skull seems like a likely form that would take. Of course, with none of them popping up recently, I suppose it'll be some time before we find out if we'll truly ascend to nirvana once all are found. I definitely have my doubts, but I always remain skeptical until someone trustworthy and without an investment in the outcome speaks.

    Ardi was an interesting find. I readily admit that I've always been somewhat skeptical about the process of evolution. I do believe in adaptability, but also believe that many possible creatures don't make it over time.It's not that I don't necessarily believe in it, because I'm not really of a creationist viewpoint either, but I think there's an element we might all be missing out on and some of our connections we're making may not be accurate. It would be like us believing we evolved from Neanderthal. We just need to find our bloodline, so to say. Ardi is hopefully a bit closer to figuring out the lineage if it exists, but I think there'll be probably a dozen more such evolutionary variations before someone draws a line that I can say "aha!"

    I've enjoyed your questions. Hope you come back again. I'm always up for knocking ideas around with folks.

  3. I agree excellent article as always Autumnforest! It is so interesting you are thinking about these other directions linking what would be different phenomena to some people that may very well be related-I think it was Jeff Wells that had a theory about the aggressiveness of the "Chupa" UFOs in S America and Brazil especially-he thought that maybe they could act in ways very much more harmful to humans because of the deterioration of an enviormental factor over Brazil-I think it was the ozone layer-and I thought that was a great theory-and indeed he presented it as only a theory -not written in stone -but I thought wouldnt that be interesting? the more we degrade the enviorment on our planet the more hostile actions the entities who are hostile can take against us! For a great book about UFO aggressiveness and even deaths Jacques Vallee's "Confrontations" is available as a free ebook on scribd -really spooky stuff-especially because actual deaths were involved! have a fantastic weekend Autumn-and I enjoy your blog and theories so much-the only way we will ever learn anything about the strange world we inhabit is with thinking outside of the box-and then when we have to go outside of that box ! I think I also owe that line of thinking to Jeff Wells at Rigorous Intuition! all the best to you my friend!!

  4. Dev;
    I'm thrilled to hear that others are thinking along the same lines. These incidents have a lot of commonalities and seem to be very regional. The sad thing is that it'll be nearly impossible to get legitimate scientists to research these things and so it's up to us curious folks to study the correlations and make theories. It would be nice, however, if some day they'll look for proof to support theories. I'm going to check out that book for sure. Thanks! :-)

  5. Please write a follow-up! I just watched a re-run of the Destination Truth episode that inspired this article and was instantly captivated by the strange happenings and ambiguity of any answers. Is there any update on the "humanoid" corpse they handed over to Chilean authorities? I really wish DT would do destination repeats and revisit that cave. All the activity the team experienced there is enough to warrant a revisit. Also, thanks for the Starchild mention. I hadn't heard of it until now, and the recent (2010/2011) DNA tests on it are fascinating. If the tests are indeed true, it's too much evidence to just ignore. I don't necessarily believe in the paranormal/alien contact, but it's impossible to not keep an open mind after reading up on all of this. Awesome article, and I hope you consider a follow-up (or even read this comment for that matter)!

    I'm with you, buddy. I do have some notes I started on and I'm going to finish up on that. Was hoping to post it for next Monday's "Shivers Monday" that I post.

  7. this article has definitely been an eye-opener for me. when i watched DT's episode on Alien Mummies, i was instantly baffled by the corpse they dug out in the mines. but here you mentioned that the Chinchorro also mummified their dead babies, newborns, and fetuses. so it could be that the "alien mummy" they've discovered is nothing more than a mummified baby. the anatomy, the cloth its wrapped it, the posture, etc..it says the same thing. here's a snapshot of it again: https://p.twimg.com/Aw1ooReCEAAmZGP.png

  9. The evolutionary process on this planet for what is called Sapien HomoSapien, is an ongoing process that is much older than believed. The thought concept, Deep Time, is needed to begin to understand it's origins. With it one can begin to process actuality, over perspective reality. In that are what is called the creation story, but described in a way which allowed earlier forms of us to understand concepts or create the neuronic pathways allowing us larger and broader ideals leading to the Truth. Beings that helped stabilize the Crib, we call Earth, started with an unstable wobbling, planet of extreme temperatures and conditions. Like a free floating ball spinning like a top, and destined to a deadly orbit,They utilized forms of us and other creatures of size to build massive stone structures placed on specific grids in the mass distribution of Earth, (the Great Pyramid of Giza is at the center of all land mass..ect) to stabilize its orbit and produce a more predictable variables conducive to life. But life of the caliber needed for replication and expansion of their genes, thereby granting their own existence a continuance, Us, would take much longer. As genes must mutate in a species in natural cycles, or replication is becomes a dead-end, and the intended outcome is useless. Earth is now and has always been a crib for the production of needed evolutionary genetic material.. Although these beings exist longer than we imagine is possible, in human terms, they are not eternal. A gravity well is needed, (the sun is of sufficient size for this.) Housed in the Star's gravity well, time dilation allows them extended time to tend the crib and produce a world of genetic material being used in every way to increase the conditions they can endure, or produce the needed creatures who can endure what they need not. The area of Central America is a prime location in the crib for materials used, and production of new kinds of life needed for their ends. And has for a long time.
