Destination Truth: Best Episode Ever! MUST SEE!

Thanks Above the Norm for doing a post on the upcoming season of "Destination Truth." I wanted to add a little mention that on Sunday (tomorrow the 6th), they're having a SyFy marathon of "Destination Truth" all day long. The episode that I believe to be the scariest episode in all my TV watching of documentary/reality shows is the "Haunted Forest" episode that airs at 4 pm (Mountain Standard Time) tomorrow. Be sure and see it, set your VCRs/DVD recorders, TiVo, whatever... just do it!

  2. Justin and Georgina;
    You might get lucky and look up some episodes on YouTube. I think that www.syfy.com usually has some episodes on there too. This guy is really funny and charming and does a great job of checking out spooky places and cryptid animals. http://www.syfy.com/destinationtruth/

  5. Ah yes, the "Haunted Forest" episode, my second favorite, my first being the one when they search Iceland for elves.

    I seriously think they caught one of the best videos of ghost activity ever on the forest episode. I'd even say it was better then half of what Ghost Hunters gets.

  6. Yeah, the suicide forest.

    Naveed, I loved the Iceland one. It had me laughing and kind of creeped out. In fact, it began some of my first considerations that local lore has a lot to do with geology and strange phenomenon. Iceland is probably geologically the most prime place for strange phenomenon and the explanation of elves for the "gremlins" that stop construction equipment is very telling. When locals live with a prime geology and tectonic activity, it seems as if their legends accommodate the things they experience, like battery drain/equipment not working--the same things you see in haunting situations. I'll have to give that episode another look, I don't recall what they found, but I sure wanted to move there after seeing the place--it felt like my kind of land and people.

  9. I had seen that one but forgot about it so I'll be sure to record it again. Thanks. And was it the flying humanoids on MonsterQuest you recommended watching last month when they reaired it? If so, it was on just the other day so I recorded it. Still watching it. What I'ver seen so far...CREEPY! (Not that it's about mothman, but mothman just freaks me out like there's no tomorrow. Apparently anything flying does, because these flying humanoid things...definitely will make an appearance in some of my nightmares!)

  10. Courtney;
    I totally agree--that flying humanoid was so puzzling and yet so man-like with strange physics that perplexed that I had nightmares too. Not many things confuse me like that. I'm usually able to come up with good logical explanations, but nothing about it adds up. Why fly without a machine so awkwardly and so out in the open? Why move so strangely if it's balloons with generally fly up higher and higher fast? I will continue to follow that phenomenon, it's just so freaky.

  11. Thanks for the mention. Since we have Direct TV I will be watching that particular episode at 1:00 pm. I may just record it anyway. Back to the marathon.....

  12. Okay, I finally saw the whole episode of MonsterQuest on the flying humanoids you recommended reading...UGH! Not too much creeps me out. Masks and Mothman. That's about it. (Needles used to be on the list. Upside of cancer treatment: got used to getting poked!)

    Anyway, this is some freaky crazy stuff. Hey, if they can discover that lost world in P. New Guinea, I don't see why they can't discover flying humanoids. Lots of unexplored caves out there...
