I loved reading this book to my son when he was little (oh hell, by 3 years of age, he was reading it to me), but anyways, I had doubts about a live action film based on this fantastic Maurice Sendak book. Boy, was I wrong. I can tell by this trailer, this will not only be my favorite movie of all time, but one I watch often to remind me to live, love, laugh, and let go.
I'm counting the days until it comes out, hope you are too.
What really draws me into it is how they captured the make-believe world of children where their emotional needs are fed by their playtime and they try to act out the world and the issues there--wishing and hoping they could just bridge the gap and enter the make-believe world to play. Wow--I think all adults should see this just to remember what magic is like.
